This is the AFA. They are known for discipline. If Taylor doesn't scheme something unique, all the spy has to do is look for #6. Our OL is terrible and our WR can't get open or catch. I suspect we will hear a lot of "no gain on the play" from the radio and TV broadcasts. Absent creativity, I would guess very little happens outside of the band of +/- 3 yards from the line of scrimmage when we have the ball. The one team you cannot go 3 and out against is AFA or your defense will be dead by the start of the 3rd quarter. I fear long drives early followed by mental/physical attrition-tied busts in the second half.If their spy can keep Huges in check, it is going to be a long Friday night in Laramie. Our offense is just too one dimensional. If Tyler can't rush for at least 100 yards: AF 27 Wyo 13.
Just being realistic. I hope I eat crow on Friday nightDigging the positivity here, people.
Agree. The "if" is a huge, huge "if". And it includes, IMHO, the ability to get AFA off the field and not just stopping chunk runs on the outside.Agree with all the comments on the one-dimensionality of our offense and the concerns of getting shut down. On the glass-half full side it is the same for AFA offense. We know exactly what they will do as well. So it also comes down to if our defense can play disciplined against the triple option
