Conference Realignment

Continues this morning as JMU is leaving the SBC for the AAC. Now I wonder how the TV money will work, not that JMU was getting a ton of money from the SBC. AAC has some dead weight in their conference.

I wish we would do a scheduling arrangement with AAC or join with them as the MWC. Maybe have a championship game that gets us leverage in the Group of whatever race (if that still exists down the road).

This is probably the end of the MAC. Miami is going to be next to jump if they can.

I wish we would do at least a MBB/WBB challenge with the AAC. They have a stout basketball conference

Might as well at this juncture , because nothing is sacred in cfb anymore. I would rather play most of the AAC schools than northern Illinois, utep and SJSU

They literally just got the best school in California to join their conference. What more do they need to survive?

Wait, didn’t JMU get an invite from the almighty pac earlier this year? Hmmm… Again, just another reason why the MWC and pac should have just merged. It would have been a race between the AAC and whatever they would have wanted to call the merger that would have been vying for the playoffs every year. With a pretty clear edge to the MWC/pac conference. Seems like our league has consistently been the, “what could have been league”. Going back to the old WAC days even.

IMHO it's going to happen eventually and we'll get Fort Fart as a conference rival again.
