@ SJSU

SJSU can and most likely will put up some points against the cowboys.

On paper SJSU will be vulnerable on defense but Wyoming tends to make the opponents defense look stout.

I’m saying SJSU covers the current 5.5 with ease.

SJSU 31 Wyoming 17
Depends on whether Hughes can tell the difference between Blue and White. The whole Green and White Rubix cube was a bit much for him to solve. Maybe Blue will be easier to differentiate? It also will depend on our offensive line technique and whether Tripodi rolls out the old "triple team one random guy and leave the rest unblocked to murder our QB" strategy. Our QB runs like he is in sand so I wouldn't count on his escape-ability (or propensity to sell a read option). Oh, and our receivers need a bit more than 3 inches of separation. While I am no fan of Hughes' play, to be fair, covering Bouknight's boys is as easy as putting a blanket on a newborn.

Unfortunately, true.
The HIGHEST PFF score in the NDSU game was a 60 by the RB Mr. Holman.
I believe the $125,000 kicked in by the coach for the transfer portal would have been better served to helped retain last years WR Durr.

I just don't see a lot of Wyoming fans watching tonight while pressed up against High School football where most of it is streamed online for free as well.

East at Sheridan will be more exciting than Wyoming though Sheridan pulled a Cowboys last week in Casper

Speaking of HS football.....I was looking at the Cheyenne South scores from this season:

0-70
0-55
0-63
0-69
0-54
0-60

They've been outscored 0-371!

What in the hell? This has to be the worst HS football team in the entire history of HS football across the country right? What is going on there?

Well the junior High that feeds them is also not good at sports. East and Central have good schools with Carey and McCormick feeding them. I assume parents know where to put their houses. South should be playing in 3A or even 2A but Big Horn would probably beat them 42-0

I’m sure other people can speak to this better, but my understanding is that Cheyenne does not require students to attend a certain high school based on their home address. As a result, none of the athletes want to attend South so they transfer to the other high schools even if they are zoned to South. It’s created a death spiral for South sports.

South is also in a more economically disadvantaged area, which is compounding things.

I don’t believe this is correct. Cheyenne requires students to attend the school within their home address boundary unless they expressly acquire a boundary waiver (such as a parent teaching at a different school).

I believe Casper allows high school choice.

Cheyenne's triad system is supposed to limit students to attend the school in their triad. That said, there are umpteen "outs" that you can use to waive into the other schools.

An interesting aside, I was talking to a coach that coached at Central before South was built. He said that Central football fell off some when South opened because the kids from the south side of Cheyenne that went to Central were more hard scrabble and tough. I wasn't really paying attention to HS sports then, but those were his two pennies.

Boundary waivers are given out like candy on Halloween in Cheyenne.
And its not just football. JV girls BASKETBALL was SHUT OUT last year by East 42-0.

Back to the actual topic. Considering that the Cowboys have scored 40 points in their last 6 road games, give San Jose St 28-10.
haha....that's what happens man. We suck, we can't score and we have no heart. So yeah, any real football talk with X's and O's is pretty short lived these days 😂

Hell, I bet more people on this board are rooting for Wyoming to lose every game if it leads to changes.

It's crazy to say, but I think even 10 points is generous for this offense.

This offense just shoots itself in the foot way too often to be able to put together a drive that goes the length of the field and scores. And they have zero big play capability, so a quick strike is very unlikely. Maybe if we get a short field from a turnover or punt/kickoff return, then we can actually scores some points.

I see us winning there. Huge mistake in winning, but I got that feeing.

A wint just screws up what needs to be done long yterm..if there is a long tyerm--but then we lose to UTEP on the road so we balance out!!

Wyoming 25
SJSU 22

Do you see the offense scoring all 25 points?
