Coach Presser 10/5

Won’t your daughter get the “parent attended UW” discount? My youngest is now a senior at UW. I have been paying 150% of instate tuition.
Yes, but that still leaves us on the hook for about $8500 in tuition and $15k in room and board. That's $23.5k per year.

Baylor offered her a 100% tuition scholarship with an additional 2-3 individual scholarships to put towards room and board. Our yearly out-of-pockets costs to go there would be closer to $8-9k.

University of Arkansas offered her a 90% tuition scholarship with a an additional health professions scholarship to use towards the remaining tuition and room and board. Annual out-of-pocket cost there would be around $12k.

The last school we've heard back from so far is LSU. They offered a scholarship that covered about 80% of tuition leaving us with around $15k in annual costs.

As you can see, same student with the same grades and SAT score, and UW is going to cost us the most even with a parent as an alumni.

Man you would have way more exciting football games to attend if she stays in SEC/B12 country

The other schools seem to me to be the better choices given costs (particularly the generous Baylor package).

Your daughter appears to be a high academic achiever given the large scholarship offers she has received. I suspect that someone without her achievement level would find Wyoming to be the more financially wise option as in suspect those scholarship packages are not available to the average student.

The Cowboys’ offense was the centerpiece of Sawvel’s media availability Monday, and for good reason.

Out of 138 Football Bowl Subdivision teams, UW ranks:

135th in scoring offense (14.2 points per game)

131st in total offense (293.2 yards)

Tied for 130th in turnover margin (minus-6)

132nd in passing offense (143 yards)

Tied for 121st in red-zone offense (75%)

Tied for 120th in first downs gained (81)

134th in team passing efficiency (107.7)

110th in third-down conversions (33.9%)
The defensive stats are probably pretty miserable as well.

I work at a golf course (it’s a perfect retirement job) if you shoot in the mid 80’s, you don’t suck my friend. In fact, you would be considered decent 🙂 I love your analogy about missed golf shots and Sawful’s excuses btw.

Sounds great, you in the re-seeding process right now? Sucks that a lot of courses there shut down for 3 or 4 weeks to reseed this time of year. A few courses don't have to (a new hybrid zoysia developed helps courses having to reseed from what I gather).

Interesting information. What is your source? Scholarships offered and amounts are not usually public information. Maybe things have changed since my days in Student Financial Aid, but it's still private information.

Probably money. During the BoT meeting I will say President Reeves was the only one I saw not on his computer or phone when speakers were talking. He has only been on the job 3 months and is trying to drive up enrollment so UW does have money.

I know everyone wants President Reeves to make a move but Barlow will more than likely be the next Governor. You should email him and ask his vision is as four trustees terms are up in 2027.
President Reeves would have never tolerated the ineptitude of Burman and Sawful in the military. Of course this a different type scenario, but it malkes me wonder.

That’s very disappointing to read the coach saying that. Supporting your player is admirable, but a blind “ he can do no wrong “ attitude is not good for anyone.
From a contact on the staff I’m told this qb just doesn’t gave it in regards to accuracy and field awareness. Two dangerous shortcomings.

Reading the coaches comments, it’s very apparent they are prepared to go down with the ship.

Reading 7220 and Taylor’s press response to making a QB change:

“No, not at all”

“I think it’s night and day. Hughes is by far our best guy, leading the helm. Again, I understand why the outside perspective wonders that, but they don’t see the big picture. I get it. He gets it. But he’s by far the best guy to help us get points on the road.
”

Let’s see Coach Taylor - Wyoming is 135th of 138 teams nationally in scoring offense. If that’s the best you have “by far” then you must realize you are proclaiming 💩 doesn’t stink and the fan base doesn’t know what smells unless you are as clueless as your boss.

I have a 75” TV. I see the big picture and it looks even uglier than it does watching highlights on my little cell phone. 🤣

P.S. Wyoming under Hughes is averaging 7.67 points per road game. I’m not seeing the BIG picture of the scoreboard.
Taylor’s retard status = confirmed . Wow

We close for two weeks starting October 19th. I only work two days a week and play free golf at least twice a week. I wish all courses here would go to zoysia. Save a ton of water as well.

We wish we were that good.

SDSU was 9-4 last year and is 14-16 (47% win percentage) since Sawvel became head coach at Wyoming. SDSU is also 144-113 (56% win percentage) over the last 20 years.

Wyoming is 9-20 under Sawvel (31% win percentage) and is 112-136 (45% win percentage) over the last 20 years.
Yes. I would take that. Not spectacular but knowing what their hoops teams has done makes it not worth even debating

Reeves can still fire ( I think) Burman now. That would mean a lot to everyone.

Probably can’t can the football staff this year, but he can fire the incompetent buffoon Burman immediately, and should
