I didn't hate some of their ideas, including budget bloat at UW, but they refused to meet in the middle on stuff. They nearly got swept out of office.Down goes the Freedom Caucus!!

They desired to defund the University in its entirety if they had their way (despite the Wyoming Constitution). They believed they were better situated for curriculum selection. They believed that the public University should adopt an evangelical Christian platform. They routinely engaged in defunding threats to try to advance their extreme agenda. They believed in eliminating judicial review and actively advocated against the check and balance which is the judicial branch. Count me in the group who hated all of these ideas.I didn't hate some of their ideas, including budget bloat at UW, but they refused to meet in the middle on stuff. I think UW deservedly needed to look within its budget because they had an old budget with fewer students, however, FC should have 100% give a year pass on that so a new President could look within and figure out what was needed to restructured. They desired to defund the University in its entirety if they had their way (despite the Wyoming Constitution). But going beyond their ideological platform and nonsense legislation (that was routinely defeated in the courts), they simply refused to be decent people and engage rationally. Everyone was a RINO or WOKE who didn’t agree with the entirety of their cult like group think. In addition, they received instruction through text on how to vote rather than any sort of independent analysis of think.
Good riddance.
Just making sure you are aware - the Dean that was removed by Seidel is no ally to the Freedom Caucus. Former engineering Dean (and retired Col) Cam Wright specifically ran against and knocked off Freedom Caucus member Ocean Andrew (the guy who wants to privatize secondary education in Wyoming).AND the nepotism with the Dean removal was fresh on minds.
Their arrogance was on full display and they probably never recover from this.
They were probably trying to use the tactic of enemy of my enemy is my friend. I am glad the voters so past themJust making sure you are aware - the Dean that was removed by Seidel is no ally to the Freedom Caucus. Cam Wright ran largely due to the crazy freedom caucus agenda.
