Not saying he is anything close to Josh but I remember getting that, “this is good” feeling when he took over much like when Josh came in the first time before he got injured. Instant ball moving down the field in what looked to be a slightly competent offense

Agree. He was the best by far last year on the roster imo

Rarely do we make it a full season without a backup. I know he's "cleared" but it would take a monumental display of determination to win the starting job. I'm not sure what that'd say about Hughes too if that were to happen. I think we all hope that Hughes is just that much better than the rest of our QBs that it wouldn't even be close. The whole reason he's here is to elevate us. Be another blemish on Sawvel and Co if Sims won the starting gig. Partially the reason that Sawvel and them would never name Sims starter even if he was better because it would be admitting their fault.
