I enjoy baseball as well, but the season is just too damn long. The first 80 games basically mean nothing. And baseball players are becoming more prissy by the year. Suck it up, play the game. You don't need a 15 day vacation for a bruised taint.

LOL at the Monforts, worst MLB ownership group of my lifetime. The rich get richer.
The Monforts are better than only one owner I can think of. Marge Schott. But only because she was a terrible person and a racist who praised hitler.

Good point on Large Marge...she really was a shit person. However, she ran a better baseball club than Dick and his kids do. I had a close friend that was an exec for them, and he lasted long enough to make them literally 100's of millions, and bailed out.

The Monforts really took it in the shorts with Milke Hampton. They gave him a big contract and guaranteed a huge part of it and Hampton faded away.

Don't forget they actually traded Nolan Arenado to the St. Louis Cardinals AND agreed to pay $51 million of his salary. Ian Desmond got $70 million to play first base a position he had never played. Early on they signed Daryl Kile for $25 million. Which was really the first sign these people had no idea what they were doing. I often wonder what people in the sports that I follow have been allowed to do something for an extended period without guardrails and done worse-- Burman or the Monforts? There isn't anybody else with these type of lengthy careers with such terrible results - as normally they would get fired or be forced to sell. Like when the Broncos sucked public sentiment forced a sale. Also, it's perfectly okay to complain because, as a fan, you are just stuck with the incompetence.

The Mountain West does not have tie-ins to the First Responder and Independence Bowls.

Keep posting, I can do this all day.
You could be correct, However the CFN reports SERVPRO First Responder Bowl vs Group of Six

College Football News - Apr 18, 2026

Mountain West Bowl Tie-Ins, Affiliations

Like Boise State two seasons ago, the Mountain West champion will get into the College Football Playoff if it's the top-ranked Group of Six champ in the rankings.

Even with the loss of Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, and Utah State to the Pac-12, there will still be openings for five bowl appearances, helped by the addition of North Dakota State, Northern Illinois, and UTEP.

The LA Bowl isn't around anymore, but these four are still available.

- Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl vs MAC
- Famous Idaho Potato Bowl vs MAC
- Sheraton Hawaii Bowl vs CUSA
- Isleta New Mexico Bowl vs CUSA

There's a new bowl back in the mix with the return of the Poinsettia Bowl, with the Mountain West expected to face the Pac-12.

The Mountain West is the first on deck, if available, for the Guaranteed Rate Bowl vs the Big Ten or Big 12. It's also available for any of these four.

- Bush's Boca Raton Bowl of Beans vs Group of Six
- Cure Bowl vs Group of Six
- Puerto Rico Bowl vs Group of Six
- Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl vs Group of Six
- SERVPRO First Responder Bowl vs Group of Six

He was the Met's pitcher they traded for, correct? He fizzled in Denver, no doubt.
