The only P4 that takes CSU would be the Big 12 and they already have CU--I suspect that you might be rightWe'll see Fort Fart back on our conference schedules eventually IMHO.

It is an agreement in principle only. The devil is always in the details. I will not be shocked if there are a few glitches to be ironed out before it becomes final. How solid is this tentative agreement to settle? The court contingency plan gives 3 weeks before proceeding.
CLERK'S NOTICE CONTINUING 5/19/2026 DISCOVERY HEARING. Discovery Hearing set for 6/9/2026 10:00 AM before Magistrate Judge Susan van Keulen
I think that the conferences have announced means they are close. But as you said, the devil is in the details. Is the PAC offering in good faith and ready to the payment arrangement? I think there is potential for dissent on that side, not so much on the MW side. Seems Boise is getting a sweet deal and some over there on that side may have some heartache with that.It is an agreement in principle only. The devil is always in the details. UW is somehow having budget problems now: https://wyofile.com/university-of-wyoming-faces-15-million-budget-shortfall/ I am not sure how they could have a budget shortfall this quickly after the legislature just gave them everything they wanted yet again. Hopefully, the administrators can keep getting their full pay thoughSupport staff and Olympic sports at some, if not most, schools will be the victims in a lot of this. The PAC is broke actually beyond broke. Wazzu fans are living in a fantasy land of $240M of debt and they think $10M/yr is going to overcome that. The school cannot even hire full-time professors and has already started cutting scholarships
Better build more luxury suites in the War. That will fix the problem.UW is somehow having budget problems now: https://wyofile.com/university-of-wyoming-faces-15-million-budget-shortfall/ I am not sure how they could have a budget shortfall this quickly after the legislature just gave them everything they wanted yet again. Because ole Ed never did anything but for himself and his lady friend. You could only find him in Jackson Hole or Laramie.UW is somehow having budget problems now: https://wyofile.com/university-of-wyoming-faces-15-million-budget-shortfall/ I am not sure how they could have a budget shortfall this quickly after the legislature just gave them everything they wanted yet again. One counterpoint is a bowl game, Holiday Bowl? Wants the MW champ and the Pac12 Champ to faceoff. For MBB they got stronger but all this money is going to destroy non-revenue sports and cuts have already started at WazzuI am underwhelmed by the possible settlement. Not even sure what I was expecting or hoping for. Maybe that the MW victory would be so significant that the PAC's viability would be threatened. Maybe hoping for a super-conference merger like the former WAC. It's kind of like a divorce decree...this really is going to happen. Until now, concentration was on the fight and not on "post-divorce" reality...who gets the kids this Christmas?
So here we are and its a mess. The end of some decent conference rivalries, a conference that made geographic sense (sans Hawaii), and the woulda, shoulda, coulda had the MW been able to add some regional big names before the explosion. Nevarez and crew failed to stabilize and grow a conference while everyone else seemed to have a plan.
Like it or not, this is the conference we will live with for 10 years or more. I'd honestly say that the PAC beat the MW pretty badly. Down to 2 weak schools...and they won. Over time, maybe we pick up the Montana schools (and that would be cool). But even so, I just don't have a ton of excitement for what the MW has become. Not super excited to visit any of the new venues. I just cannot appreciate Hawaii and Northern Illinois in the same conference any more than I can UCLA and Rutgers.
As the articles state, PAC pulled the best MW programs and left the weaker teams with a weaker conference all taking heavy doses of chemotherapy. MW added some filler but if people are honest, there's nothing to cheer about. I guess the only thing left is to support the Pokes and see what the future holds. Out of conference games will mean everything over the next decade. I do not believe that Burman is capable of navigating that landscape. I can hear the fake applause and BS justification when/if UNLV and AFA leave.
Nevarez and crew got crushed. And Burman is off somewhere celebrating the home opener against CSU not realizing what an absolute screw job this was by the Ft. Collins traitors. If we lose that September game in Ft. Collins (in a little more than 14 weeks!)....its unimaginable. Will it be enough to force change?

I think this is a fair point and seems to play on the politics (a little to our shame, though). But in honesty, this reminds me of the Burman fiasco (rewarding CSU for bad behavior). To me, this just helps the PAC 12 justify its actions. One counterpoint is a bowl game, Holiday Bowl? Wants the MW champ and the Pac12 Champ to faceoff. My only hope is the discovery factor helped in upping the settlement to the MWC and that the MWC didn’t sell out because they were getting nervous about the July 1 deadline to fulfill the GOR minimum payment to keep the GOR intact.Does it really matter if we finish 5-7th place in this conference or the old one?
This sounds like it's happening because of what the judge was going to allow in discovery. Those Presidents communications would be glorious to read.
There was never any upside for scheduling this game, win or lose. Burman screwed the UW fans in more than one way with his inept scheduling and negotiation.Just to be clear...I want nothing to do with the PAC 12 (not the Pokes). I will still be a fan but I want nothing to do with PAC and CSU. Why Burman placated them I will never know. It shows a total disconnect as to what happened and what's on the line. Not to sound dramatic, but the game against CSU will set the tone for years to come. How does he not understand how badly we are FKD if we lose that game? And the upside isn't all that great either.
Instead of making the 1,000+ mile trip to Laramie for a home opener game I am passing on UNC and refuse to go to the traitor stadium in Fart Colons. There was never any upside for scheduling this game, win or lose. Fuck the Sheep. Not even excited about the game anymore. Go let them enjoy their rivalry with Utah State.
