The only question will be...

7 (or is it 8) years to play 5? Either way, it is a shitshow, as we all know.

Athletes that competed during the 2020-21 season were granted a blanket waiver towards an extra year of eligibility. This effectively allowes for five seasons of competition within a six-year span. Some athletes have taken that route, some have not...not many have had as much of an impact as Graham has....maybe Diego Pavia? any others? Either way...this is the last year that the extended eligibility will have an impact (I think).

2020 Ike graduated HS and erolled at UW.

at UW
2020-21 Showed promise...some of the softest hands.
2021-22 Maldo, Ike and Jeffries were a great three-headed monster
2022-23 DNP Medical RS year. Terrible year for UW....program pretty much in shambles. Transfers to Gonzaga after season

at Gonzaga
2023-24 Great player
2024-25 Great player (Last year of eligibility under old rules)
2025-26 Great player (Current last year of eligibility)

Lmao he’s been playing college for 7 years. Screw Hill and the whole system that allows it

Who is Hill? **ah...typo...anyways**. Am I missing a year in there?...I thought the following years were the entirety of his college career.

1. 2020-21
2. 2021-22
3. 2022-23 DNP Medical RS
4. 2023-24
5. 2024-25
6. 2025-26

I thought the whole C19 waiver allowed "5 in 6 years". I remember some athletes trying for more but getting denied. There may be some outliers getting some special dispensation but I don't know about it.

I suspect Naz and the most of the other players will exit after this season. Sunny will be lucky to retain 2-3 players. Lather, rinse, and repeat.

I have a more positive outlook. I think we'll lose Naz and possibly Gores, but I also think there's a good chance they stick around. Sunny is building a culture, and the players are buying in. I'll guess that along with the 3 seniors we will lose 3 other players. My guess of who goes (in order of likelihood) is:
  1. Naz Meyer
  2. Gavin Gores
  3. Abou Magassa
  4. Jared Harris
  5. Khaden Bennett
I'd be surprised if we lose anyone that isn't on that list or graduating

Mostly agree with your take.

Naz and Gores will get some legitimate offers. Some others will probably have people in their ears, but they would be wise to stay where they are.

But even losing your one or two best players every year is pretty detrimental to ever building a championship level team. You really need to string three years worth of good players together to have a legitimate shot at the conference championship. That's going to be uphill sledding at UW.
