NIL: What's the best way for an individual to make a difference?

I'm an old guy who still can't wrap his head around the fact that just about every college player on the TV screen this time of year is getting paid. And now, with its typical tabloid style, Cowboy State Daily has published some partial truths and triggered reliable Cody at 7220 to try to clear things up in a sit-down with Burman. Having read both articles, I still have no idea where to send a check, if I even can! Where is the best place an average Poke fan can make a difference? If you're really informed, reply with the best place to put different scales/amounts of money.

NIL has been moved completely in-house due to the House ruling.

If you want to support Wyoming Athletics, you can join the Cowboy Joe Club and send in your check to support a specific sport or even a specific athlete.

Not if we can’t get them the ball lol
Cowboy State Daily reported that Wyoming athletics had $1.4 million total to distribute in NIL funding. Cody at 7220 sports interviewed Tom Burman to dispute the report and clarified that the University actually had $1.5 million to split up between football and basketball with some other couple hundred thousand to split between volleyball, women's basketball and wrestling.

So if the new figure from Tom Burman and the prior post on here indicating that Wyoming paid its tight end $400,000 last year are true, it would seem that 27% of the total football and basketball budget went to a single tight end. I personally don't believe that Antonio Gates in his prime would have been worth anywhere close to 27% of the total budget (and that's assuming he even played both football and basketball).

Also we now apparently have a recent interview following the football season where Tom Burman stated that there was $1 million available for a transfer portal QB and now this more recent 7220 interview where Tom Burman apparently told Cody Tucker that the school has a total of $1.5 million to distribute amongst all football and basketball players.

...so the school is going to pay a transfer QB 67% of the total budget for football and basketball??? I am sure that QB would be well received...especially if they were to get hurt (which is relatively likely in football). Make it make sense!
