I've seen the videos on IG of the team flying out, it looks like Laramie Regional and just a charter flight to wherever they would need to go.When teams need to fly, what airport are they going out of? Just curious.
I also seem to remember Sawvel making a comment about their trip to Akron being on a bus, which I thought was absolutely insane.Didn’t the football team bus ride to/from Akron or did I totally misunderstand on that one? All others were flights.
No way. I don’t think the NCAA even allows bus rides for that long of trips. Perhaps bus to DIA and then fly.I also seem to remember Sawvel making a comment about their trip to Akron being on a bus, which I thought was absolutely insane.
Did they really take a bus all the way to Akron and back? And if so, why?
That's the most likely scenario. No way. I don’t think the NCAA even allows bus rides for that long of trips. Perhaps bus to DIA and then fly.

I knew I had heard it and I am pretty sure I saw the buses in Akron parked by the equipment semi. Here it is from the UW game release:That's the most likely scenario.
Sawvel isn't great with words so who knows what he meant. He said something like "we'll be on the bus for this week's game, but the rest we will be flying". Bizarre.
If we are bussing the team to Akron to save money, then we should disband the program and just drop athletics. That’s over 20 hours of driving one way if you don’t stop at all. I refuse to believe we would put our athletes on 40+ hours of busses to try and compete (plus missed class time, inability to prepare for games because you’re busy traveling, etc.).I knew I had heard it and I am pretty sure I saw the buses in Akron parked by the equipment semi. Interesting, But Not That Interesting: The Wyoming Cowboys will travel 1,359 miles to face Akron in the season opener. But what is interesting, but really not that interesting is that Wyoming will not get on a plane for a contest till the team heads to San Diego State to face the Aztecs with travel day set for Oct. 31.
I went back and looked at the Wyoming Football twitter account and it definitely shows them boarding a plane at Laramie Airport on the way to Akron. I have no idea what that tidbit from UW was talking about.I knew I had heard it and I am pretty sure I saw the buses in Akron parked by the equipment semi. Here it is from the UW game release:
