Football on field sponsor

I was kinda expecting to see some comments about the new on field sponsor. Never heard of Ramos Law and the article I saw didn’t mention how much it cost them.

They are paying $100,000 for one game. They are an ambulance chaser car accident firm with offices in Denver and the founder is from Nevada.

Obviously they are paying for this game because of Josh Allen and media coverage the game will get.

I’m all for revenue generation however it may come.

Makes me sick...JFC UW, are you serious, Ramos Law? Fucking sell outs. What a stupid stupid idea.

And yes, I agree Oredigger, I am all for revenue generation as well - BUT with exceptions. First being, not at the expense of the fanbase (see reseating, club seats, suites, CJC tariff increases, and similar). Second, being a sell out to a fucking Colorado law firm.

Nothing was preventing a Wyoming law firm from stepping up and putting up $100,000. Apparently Spence Law didn’t see the same value.

I could care less who sponsors (get the most money). In fact, if Pornhub wants to pay a bunch of money for the media splash for naming rights to the stadium, I’m all for it.

We differ on that, however, it really isn't a huge deal. Did UW try to find somebody other than Ramos, or did Ramos approach them, or...

I’m not sure of the specifics. But I do note that if you start ignoring potential sponsors or rejecting high bids (because they are from Colorado or what not), you’ve effectively killed the market for sponsorship. This is because your ‘preferred’ sponsors know that they are guaranteed the sponsorship and will likely pay less than can be achieved on an open market.

I applaud the University for getting these sponsorship dollars even if I find the whole ambulance chaser law firm a bit hard to stomach personally.

How is this "selling out"? It's a legitimate business. They are the official law firm of the Broncos. So the Broncos are happy to take their money but we're too good to take it? That's idiotic. You should be thrilled we are getting money out this one game. We can take money from a coal mining company but not a law firm? No wonder we're at the bottom of the conference in every sport. It's this kind of small minded attitude that makes us uncompetitive.
