Volleyball has been struggling as of late. Is their OOC getting harder? They used to be a good team for UW and seems like they have taken a step back. I am interested to see how they fare against CSU on Thursday

They lost their two best and most instrumental members. Kasia Partyka (the setter) graduated and now plays professionally in Poland. Sierra Grizzle (libero) was poached with NIL by Texas Tech. I believe Grizzle has already received Big 12 defensive player of the week twice at Texas Tech this year. Few teams can lose that level of talent and be as good.

I’d be shocked if they make the MWC tournament. But Kaylee Prigge might be the best head coach Wyoming has in any sport.

I wonder what the going rate is for the VBB NIL market. TTU has been throwing money at every sport via NIL. Not sure TTU VBB can ever match the Nebraska's and Florida's of the world

TTU gave a softball player $1 million (NiJaree Canaday) to transfer. I’d say that’s a good indication of what top volleyball players can obtain.

What’s interesting is that Wyoming has a good chance to get second seed in the Mw tourney if it wins out in its last 2 home matches (need a CSU loss), but Utah State is 16-0 and is led by their best player Tierney Barlow…who transferred from Wyoming to Utah State. I thought at one time her uncle was a poster on this message board but certainly Wyoming would have been amazing had we been able to keep both her and Texas Tech’s star libero Sierra Grizzle.

Skylar Erickson? She was the libero before Grizzle arrived, Grizzle took over as a true freshman and now Erickson reclaimed the role. Interestingly, they are both from Idaho. This will be Erickson's last year but true freshman Lily LaFlesch has been impressive as well IMO.

Yeah, Erickson. From what I’ve seen she is playing as well or better than grizzle was. Both very good
