Exhibition game

I believe the College of Idaho won the NAIA national championship last year. No idea how many of those players are still with the team this year.

My thoughts are up on the blog. I'm going to keep putting these out throughout the season. Please let me know what you guys think of the format. If there's anything in particular you'd like me to look into just let me know!

Obviously a significantly different level of athlete in the NAIA, but the Pokes total domination is an encouraging sign.

Think we will have better depth this year. Hoping that translates into some more wins. Neil Summers needs to get into shape if he wants to play at this level.
Summers scored some points. In the highlights he looks skilled enough

He did, but he's currently listed at 290. He's clearly not physically ready for D1. He had good feel for the game and good skills, but he's not going to make it up and down the court very many times before he needs a sub.

Surprising he got to that size being a local kid.

Both of the pre-season exhibition wins were really good wins. Northern Colorado won the Big Sky last year.
And Northern Colorado was picked 3rd in the Big Sky preseason poll this year.

Obviously those preseason picks have to be taken with a grain of salt, but I do think they have a decently solid team this year.

I'm cautiously optimistic about our team this year. I do think they are better than last year, just not sure how much better. We have more depth which should allow us to play a more up-tempo style of basketball, so should be more fun to watch at the very least.
