But the issue remains who do you get to replace Sawvel? Another rookie Coach? It is not like people want to come to Wyoming.

Do you want to win? Maybe the AD can beg MSU HC Brent Vigen to come back to Wyoming as HC.

The issue is C. Bohl is the best HC in the last 25 years and only cost 1.7M per year.

Sawvel is costing 1.1M. Unless Wyoming is going to pay a HC 2-3M we probably have to look to FCS.

Sawvel should have cost 500k. That’s what pisses me off. He literally had ZERO head coaching experience iirc

Great question. I would suggest that the next search extend outside the corporate boundaries of the University of Wyoming campus, City of Laramie, and Albany County - at a bare minimum. For that matter, if we could get over 100 miles from the boundary of the state of Wyoming, that would be nice.

Agreed. Where the hell was he going to go? If you are going to hire the bargain basement guy, at least pay him like a bargain employee.
