Kaden Anderson is a loser.

I’ll stop short of personal attacks on the players. Coaches different story. I do believe we should try Sims however.
May I ask why you see players off limits but not coaches?

I'm just curious because, for me, it's different now that players are being paid through NIL and revenue sharing. Both are adults. Both are professionals being compensated for their performance.

Is it because the players tend to be young adults, whereas the coaches are typically older? I really struggle to find much difference between the two now.

I can't agree with calling the kid a loser. However, I can agree that he has played poorly this season. Very poorly in fact. I will also say that his OL and their feckless position coach have not helped. Those guys have been big marshmallows all year - led by a coach that has presided over a steady decline in OL play since he arrived in Laradise.

I agree with his poor play. I also wish he would shut the fuck up when trash talking. 4-13 for 49 yards and passes so far off mark don't warrant talking shit to the CU student section. The one pass nearly intercepted in the redzone (2nd qtr) was so far off the mark with his lazy backfoot lob pass.

He is more capable of a QB than what he has shown.

I don’t like calling basically a kid a loser. That’s too personal, unless something comes out about their character that justifies it. Anderson seems like a great guy and I’ve heard nothing to make me think otherwise. He’s trying his best
Agree. He plays hard. He has fought an almost endless array of injuries and keeps coming back. He goes to class. None of that says "loser" - but his play has been...well...lackluster (understatement of the year).

I will judge him based on what I see against UNLV. To me, that is a barometer game as to whether we can truly compete in even a greatly diminished MWC.

Fair point. I’m just not going to personally attack, in many cases, kids in late teenage years, or barely 20. Coaches it’s their job, and I can’t hold kids accountable for ineffective coaches or a game plan, or game management, or an O line that cant protect him, or receivers that can’t catch a ball in their hands. Kaden has had some less than impressive games, and I would like to see Sims, but, I’m not going to personally attack him or others. There is a lot out of their control.

I'd like to know what Anderson is being paid before I throw shade at him. Arch Manning is getting 2 million a year. He is a pro athlete. If Anderson is getting well under 6 figures, it just isn't the same as the head coach or a coordinator. And even then, unless the player is clearly dogging it, I'm probably not going to blame him. It's the coaches that put him on the field. The coaches should be helping him improve in practice. And if he isn't the best option, then it's the coaches that should see that and play the correct personnel. If an army loses a battle, you don't blame the foot soldier. You blame the general. Or, you blame the guy who gave the general his position. It rhymes with Vermin.

With Burman's salary of $551k a year, and no incentives built in it's more than fair to just blame him for anything that you are disgruntled about.
Ultimately he is accountable. But I’ve seen little of that.

Actually going further, the BOT and President should be accountable for rubber stamping Burman’s raises and employment extensions despite repeated misses (and bad coaching contracts) over the years.

Well said.

I’m with you - I don’t believe it is fair to personally attack Kaden and call him a ‘loser.’ I think it’s uncalled for.

News flash here. Being good (or bad) at football doesn't make anyone a winner or a loser. It's football. My guess is just about every kid (kid) on that team is a "winner" for reasons other than football. Please, let's keep this in perspective before calling some 20 year old kid a "loser" who can't even legally buy a beer.

No problem saying that Sawvel is not doing a good job coaching the team right now. Maybe that will improve. But I can't see going after the kids.
