Josh has done nearly everything he needs to do to get them there. Last week someone stepped up and made a play. Nobody made a big play other than Josh. The LB corp was decimated and the guy covering Kelce had to cancel his vacation plans and unretire. I knew this game was over when Benard got hurt.

Diggs traded. Probably a wise move for the Bills because he is a loose cannon and is only aging.
Next year could be Allen's 2017 season but with the Bills.

Feels like that one was coming. It does feel like whatever championship window they had for the last 4 years is gone....hopefully they can create a new one.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 9:51 am Diggs traded. Probably a wise move for the Bills because he is a loose cannon and is only aging.

For the last four years Buffalo was statistically very good...even elite. They had the highest point differential by a mile and only KC won more games. Such a bummer that KC has perhaps the all-time clutch guy there blocking every other AFC team from the big game.

in 2025 they will be clear of Diggs money and can get off Von Miller too. Thats like $60m-$70m in cap space.ragtimejoe1 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 10:29 am With Josh's salary, it's going to take several years of crafty drafting and budget friendly but serviceable vets.
I hope their GM has a plan in mind.

The good is that they aren't terribly far off. An adequate defense and good o-line would go a long ways. Josh can make up a lot of other deficiencies. They do need a speedster to take the lid off the d, though. Josh is much better when he has the homerun threat and teams have to account for it.Poke in New England wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 11:20 amin 2025 they will be clear of Diggs money and can get off Von Miller too. Good points. Appears that 2024 may be rough...Poke in New England wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 11:20 amin 2025 they will be clear of Diggs money and can get off Von Miller too. While sorry to see Diggs and Davis go but it was time. Davis dropped more than few catchable balls but was a very good blocker for a wideout. His price tag was going to be more than Buffalo could carry this season. Diggs played well and was constant threat but he is getting older and would need to resigned next year or cut. I am starting to wonder if wideouts will become like running backs, you draft one or 2 every year but only keep them for their rookie contract before drafting their replacement. As is the position group is generally a big chunk of the salary cap and easier to find cheaper replacements in the draft than keep what you already have.

IMO getting rid of Diggs is a good idea. His production declined since week 6 last season. They need some younger talent to fill in, which makes it obvious they will draft a WR or two in the draft. Allen is the type of QB who it really does not matter who he is throwing to, he is going to turn plays, and make those receivers playmakers. Just like Mahomes in KC.

Totally agree with you here. Good luck to Houston because Nico Collins is going to want to get paid next year if he has another fantastic season. If they keep Diggs for 2025 and beyond, good luck, because Houston will probably be tying up over $50 million in two players, plus Stroud will want a new deal in 2026. Sucks to be them.doreno5 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 2:14 pm While sorry to see Diggs and Davis go but it was time. Davis dropped more than few catchable balls but was a very good blocker for a wideout. Agree. Hasn't been Allen's fault. In fact, he's been the team's best and most consistent player. He should have won the MVP last year. Not Lamar Jackson. Allen was the statistically strongest QB in the entire league.laxwyo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 9:32 pm Josh has done nearly everything he needs to do to get them there.
