The odds makers implied score is 37-14. I admit I have brown and gold lenses, but I just can’t see that score happening. I see the Pokes beating the spread in a much closer game. I would like to say I see them winning, but given that the game is being played there something weird will happen to prevent that.

I think our inexperienced secondary struggles and so we would need several turnovers to win this one.
What will be key on offense is sustaining drives and getting into manageable 3rd downs. Last week’s gameplan against Air Force with the short timing throws was a work of art.
I don’t bet on Wyoming games but I like our chances against the spread but don’t like our chances to win. I’m seeing something like 30-20. And, as always, byu will find some way to take a cheap shot.

Don't drink Bohl's Kool Aid...
Game on the road.
Crazy BYU fans..
We are not Oregon.
Back to Bohl's run, run, pass, punt scheme.
Poke seconday questionable.
Poke defensive backs will be working hard tackling Cougar running backs.
Bohl will have that same dumb ass look on his face trying to figure things out.

BYU 27 - Pokes 13
I think we hang around for most of this one but get done in by overly conservative play calling and coaching. BYU pulls away late.
I would give anything to be totally wrong about this.

I no longer predict outcomes. For some reason the universe just reverses whatever I predict.
I haven't watched any BYU games this year. However I did rewatch the 2016 and 1996 games last night. That 1996 game reminded me how much technology has changed as it was kinda painful on the eyes.
I don't think stopping the run is going to be a problem.
I don't think us running the ball will be a problem. I don't think many explosive runs though.
The secondary - oh boy, if they come out passing, it could be a long nite.
No idea on what our actual pass game looks like now.
I was expecting an AFA loss. I figured AFA would abandon the run and do more passing like they did last year. They might have got a bit of full of themselves on the ground and decided to try to beat us like that.
I won't count us out of it, but I'm not betting my next paycheck on a win.
Oh, and its in provo. I swear there is always some weird stuff that happens down there when it comes to officiating. Pokes will need to play clean 100% to be able to win.

I just can’t predict a loss for the Pokes. I was one of the few last week and had them over AF 23-21. So I will go with that again this week.Itsux2beaewe wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 6:12 pm Very few, even on this board had us winning against AF.

We may not win this game, but I think the Pokes are better than many of us thought, even being young. I think it might be closer than a lot think - hope I’m correct.ZapPoke wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 7:32 pmI just can’t predict a loss for the Pokes.
