Ike is getting owned this game. Very disappointing
It hurts having Ike then a 200 pound power forward as our strongest players. Thompson is a magnet for getting pushed under the basket on defense. How big of a rebounding margin do we need to give up before Linder accepts Thompson isn't a division one player and goes with the guy that is big enough and strong enough to rebound with grown men?

Why he doesn't put Nelson in and let him play is the thought I have. Neither Oden or Thompson are strong enough to earn space.

You guys are funny.
This Wyoming team has a lot of poise. That was a tough road trip. Beating Washington in Seattle then beating Grand Canyon in Phoenix back to back isn’t easy. We had adversity in both games and handled it and won.
Washington leading George Mason in a tournament right now which will be a good win for them and for us.
This Wyoming team is good! We did it not even playing our best.

I had to listen to most of the second half. That’s a gutsy team we have that can pull off a road win shooting free throws like poop and getting demolished on the boards.

When they got most of their offensive rebounds Thompson wasn’t in the game. They got a ton of them the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half and it was Ike and Oden in there. So I wouldn’t say it was Thompson’s fault. It was the whole team. Thompson is included in it but they got more when Thompson wasn’t in the game then they did when he was in there. They definitely went through a big sleep state with rebounding through that period of the game and most of the 2nd half.DVDA wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 8:56 pm It hurts having Ike then a 200 pound power forward as our strongest players. Oden needs to put the rock on the floor , get to the hoop and make good things happen more often.

Tough opponent. The kids fought through bad rebounding, bad free throw shooting, and bad refs and still got the win. Outstanding effort Pokes!!!

GCU was an NCAA tourney team last year. This was a really solid road win, even though we looked like crap in a few areas.
We've been good on the boards all year, but JFC, I don't think I've EVER seen 20+ offensive rebounds in a college game. Also, our free throw shooting is absolutey abysmal this year. I hope we can get that cleaned up.

Did you hear the post game interview. They couldn't even give Linder a bottle of water. Between that and the reporters talking about the refs it was a pretty entertaining post game.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.
Hunter S. Thompson
Hunter S. Thompson
Nah, I meant GCU
All I knew about them was from their online degree ads.
Hell even my wife (who works for Casper College and deals with student transfers) was watching with me and suddenly was like, "I didn't know they even had a campus, let alone a basketball team."
