Will hopefully be traveling thru your great state in about a month. Was wondering what the odds were for hwy 130 will be open? Went thru there as a kid and wanted to retrace that if possible.
Thanks in advance.
Is this the right forum for a travel questions about Wyoming.

Should be clear this time of year. Only during the winter months (late September through April) does it really close down. Barring a freak snow storm at least.

It should be open. I'd check and make sure but it should be passable around thenInspectorVol wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 8:02 amIt's going to be sometime after Sept 20 probably when I come thru there.fromolwyoming wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 12:16 am Should be clear this time of year. Thank you. I know it is getting a bit late in the year where you guys can get snow anytime but I really want to come north on this trip.wyokoke wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 4:08 pmIt should be open. If it helps my route is roughly this; coming from tn to the badlands, mount rushmore, devils tower, yellowstone, thru snowy range over thru oggallala then kansas and then home. If snow is going to be a big threat, like a major storm that would strand me then I will stay south. Thanks for any advice or warnings.

Still a bit of snow on Med Bow Peak but barring any freak snowstorm like Beartooth Pass got this past weekend I don't think we'll see snow until the 1st week of October imho...it does feel fallish in Cheyenne tonite tho(not ready for that, yet)

That is perfect weather. Can't wait until it's December here so it will cool down.fromolwyoming wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 11:38 pmBeen getting that way here in Laramie too. High was 71 today.
