I still don't understand why athletes are allowed at the bars during their season, and around finals as well, and to hit a girl, smh...

I see no this as a he he said she said. There seems to be no proof that he did or didn't do it. Only that he was involved in an altercation. The fact that a student had no idea who a starter on the Basketball team was is pretty to believe on its own.stymeman wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 7:31 pm https://trib.com/sports/college/wyoming ... 74298.html

Sorry to burst your bubble but less than half of the student population could even name a starter on the basketball team let alone recognize one. Don’t believe me, take a trip to the engineering building. Additionally, how many students have you seen at basketball games this year?? It is very few. Let’s not be naive and believe the whole world has our same passion for college sports.Wyo2dal wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 9:58 pmI see no this as a he he said she said. It is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt standard from a criminal law conviction standpoint but that isn’t the same standard the university operates on in its discipline application. Additionally, charges are not filed without a belief that there is sufficient evidence to obtain a conviction (it’s unethical for a prosecutor to do so). The article indicates that there were witnesses to the punch, and, if it goes that far those potential witnesses will be called to testify as to what they saw or didn’t see. You really believe they removed Redding from the basketball roster without any evidence other than the victim with memory issues indicating she heard it was Redding??

I doubt 1 in 5 students could name more than 1 starter on the team, let alone recognize him. Innocent until proven guilty is for a court of law. If the school has what it thinks is ample evidence of wrong doing, they have every right to enact whatever discipline they want.Wyo2dal wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 9:58 pmI see no this as a he he said she said. I know people who went to UW for over four years who couldn't name our football or basketball coaches while they were there. If the woman wasn't a sports fan, it's not at all hard to believe she wouldn't know Redding from Elvis.Wyo2dal wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 9:58 pmI see no this as a he he said she said. I’m a little baffled by this. It seems that Ny was involved and seemed aggressive as witnesses have said. The one part that is confusing to me is that the roommate of the victim had a brother that used to be on the team. Based on the intials, Cody Kelly would be the brother of the roommate. Not sure how the victim would not know who Ny was if her roommate was Cody’s brother. Either way, just plain dumb for Ny to put himself in that situation. There was prob some poop talking going on... You never hit a Woman period. Very sad end to a career for NyWyo2dal wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 9:58 pmI see no this as a he he said she said. There seems to be no proof that he did or didn't do it.
