So unfortunate... any one have ideas as to who could be possible replacements? The only name I can think of is like Curt Mallory. But I’d give that a low percentage.

Defense was the bright side of the year.
Going to K-State. It was only a matter of time for him.

Hmm. With the way folks think Vigen walks on water, I would have guessed he would have been the first recruited
K-State got a damn good DC. Sucks.

NOoooooooooo!
Vigen should take a 75% pay cut so we can hire a suitable replacement

Damn, this is horrible news. Hazleton was paid well at Wyoming so I am a bit surprised KSU was able to lure him away to be DC.

Next year was our year to get back to relevancy with a slightly improved offense and a defense that hopefully at least would be better because though they lost players, offense should be able to run more clock.
Guess it'll be back to allowing 50+ points to New Mexico again.
Really hope we don't lose any players because of this.

I first heard about this a couple weeks ago.. this is a promotion, no doubt. Scottie will be missed, he was definitely an asset to UW. Stuff like this will always happen to Wyoming.. nature of the business when you're a G5 team.

Did some looking around... I was somewhat liking Jeremiah Johnson from UNI. Spent a little time with UW in early 00’s

Man, you guys are a bunch of negative people BEFORE you even know who the new DC will be. If it were Stanard coming back I would agree with you, but he ain't and that ain't....happening. There are some really bright and excellent defensive coaches out there, and Wyoming pays well. I am optimistic that we will get a good one.

Wyoming will forever be two things in athletics.
1. Coaching stepping stone.
2. Coaches that plan to retire.
When a mediocre school had such awesome defensive stats it's only a matter of time before a big school comes knocking.

He made $400K at UW this season, I bet he's making at LEAST $600K at KSU this upcoming year.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 5:24 pm Damn, this is horrible news. Hazleton was paid well at Wyoming so I am a bit surprised KSU was able to lure him away to be DC.
