WyoNation Bracketology: Week 11

The Miami Hurricanes had their perfect season come to and end this weekend at the hands of Georgia Tech. Miami was in a prime position to grab one of the top four seeds in the twelve team playoff bracket now find themselves sitting in the unenviable position of playing a very good B1G or SEC team. Miami mounted a fourth quarter comeback but the Yellowjacket offense did just enough to ice the game. Huge win for the Yellowjackets.

In other upsets this past weekend we had Georgia take a loss to Ole Miss. The Bulldogs still find themselves in the latest playoff bracket, but their road just got significantly more difficult. Their loss to Ole Miss helped the Rebels move up the rankings, but not quite enough to find themselves in the playoff.

As for undefeated teams we still have Oregon sitting at the top of the rankings and the playoff bracket. Indiana continues its very unprecedented undefeated streak fresh off of a win over Michigan. What Curt Cignetti has done with the Hoosiers is remarkable. All he does is win. BYU needed a last minute field goal, and maybe some other factors that resulted in the Utah athletic director picking up a $40,000 fine to keep its unbeaten streak alive. Lastly the Army Black Knights played a game of keep away from the dangerous North Texas offense to stay unbeaten. Army reeled off a 14 play, 10:50 drive that went 46 yards and resulted in no points. In the second half of the game they pulled off a 21 play, 94 yard and 13:54 minute drive to suck every last breath out of the Mean Green.

Onto this week only one top 10 match-up, with Tennessee going on the road to take on Georgia. A Georgia loss would most certainly eliminate them from playoff contention, while a Tennessee loss would put the Vols near the outside looking in. Boise State will have a tough match-up on the road against San Jose State as Asheton Jeanty continues his run towards a Heisman. In a loser leaves the playoff chase game, Clemson will go to Pittsburgh to take on the Panthers. Alabama will be hosting a barn burner in Tuscaloosa as they take on ... Mercer?

Onto the bracket and rankings..
