I always think we're gonna win at home with Shyatt on the bench, it can be unfounded optimism sometimes but just how I feel. A win here would be very nice as it'd put us in the hunt for the 5-6 seed game. The 6th or 7th seed would work in my book too. Let's hope we continue to heat up in these next 3 games.

A win here and this team should really be feeling it.
But a loss won't derail our MWC Tourney hopes.
If we win, we gotta go beat UNLV then beat SJSU on senior night.
If we lose, we gotta go beat UNLV then beat SJSU on senior night.
It would be great if we beat SDSU and put a little scare in those guys. I feel like Shyatt is becoming quite the thorn in the side of the Aztecs.

right on, but I'm not sure why you think JJ will have a big game. He's had his confidence ruined by Shyatt and is now buried on the bench.rich22 said:
Coach Shyatt test all the young freshman, its his test to see if they will man up and fall in line or keep running to mommy and daddy to be coddled. Its college, I like JJ and I hope he reads this. He has raw talent and a good attitude on the bench swinging his arms on great plays. He will get thick skin and be a big asset next year or he will fold like a chair - my money is on him stepping it up. He has the ability to be a great asset, just put the time in.

Lol. Thanks. This is what message boards are for. To express opinions. I think Shyatt has done a shitty job of managing playing time. We did not have to be this bad this year. Should be at least .500 in conference. Oh, well.davidwyo said:

There have been times during games I have wondered about some substitution patterns but in hindsight I don't think there is any evidence there was better moves to make.
LanderPoke has a point. I don't think Shyatt makes the best substitutions at times (although lately he's been great - I think he, like all of us, didn't know what to do the first half of the season with such a young team), but he's an old dog, he's been coaching since like 1972???? shit, sorry Coach, that's awesome and I have to assume he knows best - why you ask? he has two national championship rings and an MWC Ring which is three more than anyone on this board. With TW3 gone I think it makes it easier for Coach and JJ will get time as earned.
