Wyoming @ Texas St. - GTS

30-21 Wyoming!

Yes, I am taking the under and Texas State to cover. Texas State slows the game down and our D still is not the type to force a bunch of 3 and outs.

This is not a gimme at all...but afterwards 4-1 (hopefully) will look great.

TSU has played Terrible this year. Yeah, they"re 2-1. But let's delve into that shall we... They barely, and I mean barely beat probably the worst FBS school in S. Miss, 22-15.

We beat probably the worst team in FBS (and yes I know Idaho hung with Northern Illinois for a while).

Nebraska, Idaho, AFA against Texas St.'s S Miss and Texas Tech. I think ranking Wyo's opponents over TSU's rank far above. I would put Neb over TTU and AFA and Idaho over S Miss. And our performance over those opponents compared to theirs is very noticeable. So do the math. If DC has his boys composed and prepared, and after seeing the unity, togetherness and selflessness of this team for myself... I think Brett Smith and Co. take care of business.

Calhoun is lucky DC took his foot off the gas peddle. The score showed 56-23, but if he were a ruthless bastard, he could have hung 80+ on the flyboys. I really don't think this game will be remotely close. No disrespect to TSU....Wyoming's offense will just be way too much.

I wasn't making any overall schedule comparisons just stating that Idaho is that bad. We can only play our schedule but Idaho won't be doing us any SOS favors.

I wouldn't touch this game against the spread. This could be a flat spot for Wyoming since they wanted that Air Force game so bad. ALso 2nd straight game on the road. I could see us playing one of those bad 1st qtr's on offense and then get it going finally late 2nd qtr.

Texas St. is better than Idaho or N. Colorado who we started slow against.

Hope we don't come out flat and destroy them but I could see us winning by about 10 points actually. As long as we get a road win after that big win at Air Force I will be happy.
So far, we've quite arguably played better on the road in four split games. And as far as Texas St. > Idaho, I'd call them about even. Texas Tech (the game everyone points to) is no great shakes on offense this season- very one-dimensional (ranked 103rd in rushing against the likes of Stephen F. Austin and SMU).

The Bobcats essentially beat Southern Mississippi (worst team in the FBS) on a long fumble return (they won by 7, 22-15) this, despite 6 turnovers by So. Miss. They struggled to move the ball against Prairie View posting a total of 408 yards against an FCS opponent. Texas Tech beat them with a backup QB and no running game. Twice the Bobcats had the ball, 1st goal and both times went out on downs. Their possessions are typically three-and-outs.

The Bobcats have yet to face a dual threat QB with the weapons at WR and the o-line to balance the offense. This should be a dash-and-splash, but I can see DC going into the depth chart in the 3rd and 4th unlike against Calhoun.

Wyoming 45, Texas State 13.
