Wyoming opens -1.5 vs. SJSU

Hope our coaches don't hit the panic button like the fanbase / message board has.

Would be a mistake to move positions of personnel (offense to defense or vice versa) at this point in the season - the half way mark. Expecting somebody to switch, and get it, is highly, highly unlikely.

It isn't so much hitting the panic button but rather out of necessity. We have two safeties that are healthy at this point both of which are piss poor. I don't think May will be a permanent figure in the secondary but I do think he will be in there for nickel and dime packages.

What about giving Jones some time at safety and playing some of the other guys at corner? I know he's undersized and not the best tackler, but I would think having an experienced guy back there to make the calls would help tremendously with getting everyone on the same page and avoiding busted coverages.

I agree. I was stating as a counterpoint about May being in the secondary how about the 3rd string RB who has played safety recently. NOt expecting either to actually take place.

How we didn't curbstomp a very piss poor Hawaii team is beyond me. Honestly, I am still pissed when I think about it. Up 28-17 and just wet ourselves. Mental break downs. Physical break downs. We saw it all.

Much better Wyoming teams have gone to Hawaii and lost to equally as bad Hawaii teams so this game really shouldn't have surprised so many people like it has. I think Hawaii is better than we have been giving them credit for after watching them in person and their record to date backs that up. I think they will knock off a few more teams on the island. Really the most surprising thing to me is how confident Wyoming fans were going into this game. Wyoming was an underdog for a reason.

hopefully something gives, I was on vakay last week, elk hunting West of Casper, nope damn private land, lol....too warm anyway, I'm ready to go see us beat SJSU for a change

I would love to see wacha as safety I think he would be good there.
Good tackler, good speed, and can help in run support. And linebacker is the one spot on defense we're not short on depth at. Plus White is, at best, questionable for this weekend.

I honestly have a hard time seeing why Wacha hasn't been playing safety all along. He's undersized as an LB, he's smart and fast, we need help in the secondary...

Spartan pass defense seems to be pretty good, but their rush defense has been gashed pretty good. Plus Wick had a field day against them last year.

I hope our defense steps up to the plate this game, otherwise our hopes for any bowl game most likely goes out the window.

Don't pin your hopes on our defense. Here is a crazy prediction (actually it isn't a prediction it is a pretty good chance) DJ May playing safety this week! We are so decimated at that position DJ will play safety in certain situations!
May is a good RB, but has he ever played on defense, let alone at Safety?

I think you could throw Stu Williams in at DB and see very little drop off.
I think we could put Honey Boo Boo in at DB and see very little drop off...

This.

Part of being "Cowboy Tough" is perseverance and integrity- and by integrity, I mean honoring the responsibilities you've committed to- no matter how tough. These players struggling at the positions they're playing need to dig in and find a way to be, at minimum, proficient at the FBS level of their respective positions. Quitting or backing out is not an option. When you find yourself stuck in a hole you can't back out of, the only way forward is to dig in.

5 dimes has it at pickem. csewe is -5.5 vs. Utah st. I like the team that beat up byu on their home field.

Lots of respect for Notre Dame, only +12 at Florida state. Unless Winston is ruled ineligible for god knows what, I'm guessing FSU curb stomps the Irish.

Regarding Wyo., I'm hoping we get a good crowd Saturday. Maybe if it's cold and windy, SJS won't be able to pass. Anyways, a slight lean to the Pokes. Big game for Wick and liquor sales in Laramie for homecoming.

Taking Wyoming points; looking forward to winning some money. Probably under too; we'll see. Also might as well stay on Marshall covering again at 21.

My gut says Notre Dame wins in Tallahassee. So if you're betting this game, take FSU ML.

I hope the Golden Domers knock off Rapist Winston and Florida "Cover Up All Crimes" State Criminals.

Really? I think Notre Dame is a bit high in the rankings, but FSU is WAY overrated. They will lose at some point this year, IMO, the only question is when.
Both ND & FSU are crap holding on to the default of being undefeated and that is it.

Not even going to try and guess what happens with our game but I'm guessing Gray is going to shred our secondary.

I say FSU wins by at least two td's.

edit! Just saw the betting line was removed? hmmmm..... 9 lives over?
