Kind of terrifying what a lack of conference affiliation will do to a program. I hate to see shit like this. The gap between the haves / have nots grows every year. If you don't position yourself being a top 60 or so program, your future is on thin ice these days.

Through discussion elsewhere, I've discovered this is due to the Hawaii Exemption, which can give teams the option to schedule an extra game (usually at home) or an extra bye week during the season if they play in Honolulu. We will have an extra bye week next year.

CSU, SJSU, BYU, all with games today, are taking an extra bye week this season because they all play at Hawaii. That's why they are playing today in Week 0.
