Wyoming Needs #5 Seed for MWC Tourney

I am sure Papa Shyatt is strategizing on how to get the team to a #5 seed. Wyoming needs to avoid that first round at the MWC in Vegas. Then go 3-0 and cut down the nets, again. We don't need a lot of help, other than just winning then next six games (I'm sure a few chuckles blurted out after that comment). That would guarantee us a #5 seed and put the fear in the MW teams, as the team nobody wants to play at the Tourney. We lost four of our five starters, but still have tourney experience with Josh, Jason, Jeremy, Herndon, Barnes and Gorski - so they won't be wondering if they can win, they felt the experience and that leadership can help Dalton, James and Naughton.

Vegas is just around the corner - time to put our rally caps on.

I disagree a little with your seeding thoughts though. I think we just need to get into the 7-10 game or 6-11. The 5 puts us up against SDSU sooner...maybe that's good because we have more legs for 3's against them. Something tells me we want to avoid them until the championship or not at all if possible. In a one off for all the seasons marbles I think we can beat em. We'd need that game more then them too.
 
Love the attitude. Let's get it done! I'd love nothing more than to see us cut down the nets two years in a row.
 
It feels good to be enthusiastic about this team again doesn't it fellas!!! I just believe in these players and Coach Shy + his STAFF!!! So glad we paid those guys money. I kinda feel like that football team might turn the corner a little bit again soon too. There might be some sunshinin days ahead for us yet!

I think they'll be interesting and more fun then years past. I'm going 5+ wins...lets consider anything over 5 gravy and turning the corner for sure because think of how low it was.
 
Cosmic Cowboy, Thanks...I was in Vegas to watch the Cowboys cut the nets last year. Chemistry is everything. If this team rallys around Coach Shyatt and Josh Adams and those two reciprocate and be patient - they'll show up and we can win it all - with the bad record. We beat NM at the Pitt and NM had SDSU beat. The Cowboys put on a show Saturday and nobody can beat them if they play like that over the next six games. I'll take five wins and no worse than four wins the rest of this season, which will give us a decent placement. First round bye preferred, but if we have to play, lets go into the game with momentum and swagger.
 
We currently have the same number of conference wins as the #5 seed. Hell we are currently only 3 games out of the #2 seed. Other than SDSU at #1 this conference is wide open. I don't see it as that big of stretch for us to end up with the 5 seed(or higher). These last 6 games are gonna be wild. If we keep improving and finish the season on an up in the rollercoaster that has been this season we will be right in the thick of things ready for the tournament.
