Wyoming in CBI tournament

think we got totally snubbed, but I'll be there, just wish it wasn't over spring break, oh well for those of you that can come on out let's beat the Bison!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
It would be very embassing to lose to a 184 RPI 15-13 team. The hope is that the Poke's are really pissed and not let down by the snubs.
 
If we win then we will play the winner of Washington St. and San Francisco. I think we can beat all 4 of those teams , especially if the 2nd game is in Laramie as well. TCU is on the same side of the bracket as us.

Heres the bracket

Milwaukee vs. TCU
Western Illinois vs. Oregon State

Washington State vs. San Francisco
North Dakota State vs. Wyoming

Delaware vs. Butler
Quinnipiac vs. Penn

Princeton vs. Evansville
Wofford vs. Pittsburgh
 
Looks like they played Minnesota and Arizona State to close games, but lost each by just a few points. Maybe they get up for the big teams (although Arizona State not so good this year, Minnesota was 12-1 when they played them)
 
With the way Wyoming plays defense I honestly think Wyoming can win this tournament. We played far tougher teams than anyone in this tournament this year.

Washington St. , Oregon St. and San Fransisco all play up tempo fast paced games. Wyoming should be able to frustrate those teams with as much as we slow it down.

Western Illinois is just like Wyoming actually. They play a slow down game and play good defense. If Wyoming matched up against them the score might be in the low 40's.

FIrst things first though , we need to beat North Dakota St.

If TCU gets their 2nd game at home also I can see them winning and us matching up against them again.
 
What a massive fall from grace for Pittsburgh. A #1 seed in the NCAA tourney only a few years ago, and now they're in the CBI? Damn.

Yes. The championship game is best of 3. You play a home and home series. So it could go 3 games with the 3rd game being the rubber match.

Obviously the NIT was the goal late in the season, but this isn't a bad consolation. Virginia Commonwealth won this CBI tournament the year before they made their Final Four run.
 
No TV for this one. I would love to run over to Laramie for this, but it is tough to do on a Wed.

The Bison have had a rough go of it this season. The play has not been consistent and lately there has been no intensity. I would be very suprised to see the Bison win this one, but in basketball anything is possible. Feel free to stop over and visit the Bison board. NDSU is more of a football school, but this CBI bid is getting some moderate interest from the fans.

Wyoming getting additional play time is a huge turn around from what we have seen. I'm very happy we are playing anywhere! So far I can't find TV or Radio coverage of the CBI but I Can't imagine that being the case, I can see it not getting TV coverage but I would think it would have some radio coverage.
 
My wish is that we score more than 3 field goals in each half.

If we get 4 or 5 field goals in each half that would be icing on the cake.
