Good blog.
I wonder how much of our defensive success can be attributed to the increased strength of our defensive line. When you can't run the ball you find yourself in long yardage situations. The Cowboys have been successful at forcing teams to pass the ball, which allows us to pressure the qb, use our speed to close down the outside rushing lanes, and win the time of possession battle.
We might not be world beaters in coverage yet, but having the interior strength to shut down the run makes people one dimensional and allows the defense to be aggressive, attack, and utilize the great speed we have to force turnovers.
I think we'll score points on defense this year. We've got play makers and speed all over the field. It's only a matter of time until someone takes one to the house.
