Wyoming Basketball Coach Preview [7220 Report]

I was one of the Wyoming fans that was impatient and wanted Burman to hurry up and get a new coach hired last spring. Turns out Burman knew much more than I did and do now. Let's get this show on the road - can't wait.
 
I was really surprised the way we brought back Shyatt. I had just graduated HS when he last coached here and I didn't know much about him then. I had heard he had broke his contract and gotten into a lawsuit with the University. I was somewhat confused on why we would hire him back.

I went to the midnight madness the other night, and I can tell you, the guy gets me excited for basketball. The former players he coached, the friends, hell even dressing up as a cowboy for the event demonstrates that he is a well rounded individual interested in developing relationships with his team, the community, the fans, and he has won here before. I'll leave the fact he doesn't know what the elevation of Laramie is alone [even though it is plastered all over the damned place!] :)

Its a good hire, I'm excited about the caliber of some of his recruits, and I really look forward to the next few years of basketball in Laramie.
