Wyo vs. CSU now on

yeah but they always skip most of the second half on the re-air

sad thing too, they cut out the hit that AA put on one of their linebackers along the wyoming sideline....dropped him cold, and just stared down at him like "yeah, that just happened"

yeah, after I edited it, your post was already there. I hope this Sullivan kid can kick field goals or else we might be in trouble. Watts made some clutch ones in 2009. I also wish that Muhammed hadn't switched to RB. He looked pretty good out there at LB.

Muhammad will be good at what every position he plays, I am excited we have somebody that can run between the tackles. A little thunder and lightning combo with Ghaali and AA/Sutton.

Muhammad's natural position is SS. He would be an absolute stud at that position. While he played decently at LB, there were times when he got eaten alive on run plays. He's a good sized guy, but still a bit undersized for a 4-3 linebacker. I think he will make a decent RB, but I don't think his full potential is being put to use that position. He belongs at SS, and after Shamiel Gary left, I thought for sure we would see him back there in spring ball. However, that wasn't the case and I'm left scratching my head.

I've questioned this staff on several of their personnel decision regarding position assignments. They seem to be overly optimistic about taking smaller, faster players and putting them at positions where they are undersized in the name of "getting more speed on the field". Personally, I think that may be beneficial on a small scale but this staff does way too much of it. Yeah, our defense was faster last year, but it was also the defense that gave up the 5th most points in the last 30 years of UW football. Yeah, I know...our offense left them on the field too long, put them in bad positions, etc...but our offense has sucked for some time and our defense hasn't given up that many points for a while.

From what I understand, Ghalli was a very good high school running back too. And think he will be a very good, and larger back that we desperately need. Also looking forward to seeing the other RB's too....Sutton could be terrific. Ghalli would be been a solid SS too.

In regards to moving players around, it happens everywhere. TCU is a prime example of a program that tries to get the fastest players on the field by moving players to different positions and letting them grow. The biggest reason we gave up so many points is because we switched from a 3-4 to a 4-3 and lost all of our experience on the DLine. This year, on year removed from the switch, the Dline looks much larger and much deeper. Our defense should be solid this year.

I'm going to watch this whole thing just to see one stiff arm!

Ha...that stiff arm was awesome! That stiff arm is already part of the Border War lore per the Rivals episode on UW and CSU ....and yes even though he is gone, I loved and still love every second of it. Long live the Border War Stiff Arm!
