Just got back from the game in Green Bay. Had a good time and there were probably about 50-100 Cowboy fans there including some relatives of Adam Waddle from Chicago--apparently his mom's family, aunts and uncles and such, they told me his mom played for the Cowgirls in college--pretty nice folks.
The Pokes played great on defense and hustled their butts of the entire game, very impressed with them. The refs absolutely sucked, especially the charges that were and weren't called. There were also some ticky-tac calls that went against the Pokes, but really can't blame the refs.
As one poster mentioned, they couldn't hit the broad side of the barn in the second half. Had some problems boxing out on the boards. Down the stretch they had no sense of urgency, seemed that they tried to look for the perfect shot instead of trying to get something quick, which down by 3-4 possessions with under 2 minutes left needed to be done.
Washington is a beast, very impressed with his defense always hustling and playing tough. Seems to get frustrated at times when he doesn't get calls and when his shot isn't falling.
The Cowboys have a pretty deep bench and Shyatt used 7-10 players on a pretty regular rotation.
Overall much better performance than in recent seasons, but still some work to do. Very young team with a lot of potential. By conference time this team could be a tough game for most opponents. They need to learn to win these types of games.
