The Cowboys announced this afternoon that 6-9 Derek Cooke has signed his letter and has 3 years of eligibility. http://wp.me/p1SXST-i2

"potentially be a flower", "naivety", "tremendous upside". Translation: He is not there yet but we sure the hell hope we got a good one.

All things take time. Some more than others. Look at Nance. Started off slow this last year, but got better and better each game.

is he really 6-9 and only 190ish lbs? I don't think he'll be some big time scorer. Justin Williams comes to mind.

Is he eligible to play next season? This is sort of an odd situation, they are saying he has three years of eligibility but took a redshirt year with his JC. Anyone know?

He's a sophomore next year. That means the front line of Hankerson, Nance and Derek Cooke will play together for their junior and senior years. They'll all be practicing together for three years, and Nance and Cooke will be on the court together for three years.

Now, toss me a Billydee and we're talking championship trophies.
