Wrestling Studs commence your domination

Hernandez dropped his match as well. What a horrible morning for the Pokes. They need a strong evening session to keep in the hunt of a top 10 finish and to get some All-Americans. 3 Cowboys left in the NCAAs..

Anybody know what happened to Joe's head? Had it all sorts of wrapped up. It really seemed like it was messing with him on his feet. I've never seen him get schooled like that. Looked very disoriented.

What a rough day for Pokes wrestling. If anyone deserved to be a champ it was Joe LeBlanc.

I am calling it now...Onufer and LeBlanc both bounce back to claim 3rd!

...and Hernandez will be AA too!

LeBlanc suffered another loss, will wrestle for 7th place, Hernandez will wrestle for 3rd. Onufer is done at the NCAAs. Onufer and LeBlanc deserved better this weekend, Hernandez was outstanding!

Hate to see it for Leblanc and Martinez. Was hoping those two would go out on top.

Zach Zehner is my roomate and hate it for him as well. His father promised to buy him a motorcycle if he finished top 8 :tickedoff: he promised to to let me borrow it.

I know it's not what anyone wanted but I gotta say that I'm extremely proud of this program. Wrestling is the sport I am most passionate about as I spent 14 years of my own life doing it. Watching Joe lose in the quarters felt like a kick to the gut. I choked up a little bit after the match. I am very happy for Fonz though. I feel like he's been the most underrated wrestler on our team this year. All I ever hear about on campus is about LeBlanc and Onufer. I called it to my family beforehand that Alfonso would be our highest placer.

Here's to a strong finish at this years NCAA's guys. We got some really good firepower coming back next year and I with Branch's instruction I see us staying a perennial powerhouse. I'm really excited to see what Andy McCulley does next year and what Tyler Cox manages to do coming off the Olympics. Thanks go out to Joe, Shane, and Michael for getting this program to the next level! Let's build on it now

Joe LeBlanc finished 7th, got a medical forfeit in his finals match. Fonz finished 6th, lost a 4-1 decision in the finals. Pokes are in 19th place with 31 points.

Congrats UW Wrestling, what a year. This has been one of the funnest teams to follow for the last 4 years!! I think we all wish the Seniors could have gone out on a higher note, but that is the toughest tournament of the year, and if you don't have your A game, you won't wrestle Saturday night.

I can barely wait for next year. A ton of bright spots in this program :-D :-D
