I have a really good feeling we're gonna go undeafeated in conference duals this year... http://www.wyomingathletics.com/sports/m-wrestl/recaps/012311aac.html

This is the best Wyoming wrestling team I've seen in a while.... :-D :-D

And next year we'll be even better...Keep rollin' Coach Branch & UW matmen, I don't know where the polls have you, but I know when the chips settle, you guys are in the top 20 programs in the nation.

Accroding to this site http://wrestlingreport.com/college/rank/ncaa_rank.htm ; the Pokes are #27.

But according to this http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/wrestling/d1 ; they're at #25. Overall though, pretty good, with a couple of guys looking to win their weight divisions at the NCAA tourny.

Good win for the Pokes. UVSU had some tough guys.. Martinez is starting to get back into the swing of things and Cox is blowing people away. As long as Onufer and LeBlanc keep on keepin' on the team should be in good shape heading into the conference season.

The only reason we're at #27 and #25 is because the polls don't realize how hungry this wrestling team is. Coach Branch has a fantastic team, and he knows it. This team will make noise at the National tournament.

I agree Titleist, Martiinez has regained his old form since dropping to his comfortable weight. And Cox, all that kid wants to do is win.....AP

Odd statement, considering both Martinez and Cox lost to UVSU...with Cox getting pinned. Yes, Martinez and Cox have picked things up from where they were at the beginning of the year, but these losses actually hurt more as they are in conference and will hurt their seeding at the regional. Hopefully Cox and Martinez can beat the UVSU guys at the regional or they could end up staying home for nationals. (although assuming they met in the finals, hopefully they would still get selected as the UVSU wrestlers they faced are very good)

Cox is the real deal, this is his first year of real competition. He might get beat out and not make the big tournament, but this is his first year of real competition at this level. Not a doubt in my mind that Cox is someone who every team fears, whether he's an All-American or not. And Martinez has proved himself X3. I fully believe this team will give a better showing this year at THE TOURNAMENT than last year. And last year, they did a really good job...AP
