Yeah but who have we lost to? Oh yeah the 8th ranked team in the nation that is it. I think we are progressing in the right direction, Smith is real deal and with more experience is only getting better. Our defense is the ? but I am thinking they get a little better as we progress into the season.
Hopefully, we go down to USU and blow the doors off them like they are standing still. While UNLV had a nice win over Hawaii, we really need to finish better than UNLV, UNM, and CSU due to some of the odd losses they have had.
I'm not going to make any predictions though - I thought this UNM/NMST game would be far closer than it is.

I don't know about that. I haven't followed utah this year but BYU is a shell of its former self the last 2 years and TCU is showing they are only human this year. We'll never have the opportunity to know, but I don't think BYU would finish in very good standings in the conference this year.
At least CSU has beaten the FCS teams they have played this year.

And Wyoming actually seems to be on the up and up. Defense is still questionable, but the problems on offense are quite fixable (stupid penalties and dropped passes), with an awesome looking QB and an O-line that actually blocks and gives the QB times. Speacial Teams, I don't know what to think there. McCoy has an accurate and poweful leg, but his inconsistency has hurt us at times. The FG blockign team has done well. The actual kicker needs work on his accuracy.

I agree with all of this. In fact, I am confident in saying that the only reason byu and utah were relevant was because of the conference. Utah will continue to fade into irrelevance. Byu will continue playing every crappy Idaho team until they get invited to the Big 12 where they will also fade into irrelevance.
