With our old rivals recent flop in the WCC tournament, BYU finds themselves squarely on the bubble. While I have no doubt that they'll make the NCAA tournament (as that's how my bad luck usually works), they are at risk of an NIT birth instead. Would you like to see us play the Cougs in the NIT?

I personally would like to play them, especially if we could get it at home. They left such a poor taste in my mouth last year. I just want one last shot at them. What about you?

Hopefully if we did play them it was later in the tourney and have some meaning so we can get some fans here for it.
I would like to play CU in Laramie, I'm sure there are a lot of Buff fans that would come up for that one.

I think they seed the NIT now, but I think it would be great to play both of them. If I had to pick one, I would rather play BYU because we already beat CU in Boulder and I assume they are on the schedule again next year. As long as the school in Provo fields a team, beating them will always make a season better in my book.

You are being generous. When I went to JuCo down in Colorado, I did not get the impression that there were 25-50 people who were both from Colorado and basketball fans.

Wouldn't it be fun if BYU missed the NCAA tournament due to whatever hit they took in the SOS because they were playing in the WCC instead of the MWC? There were two teams that were better than BYU, but I doubt the bottom of that conference was nearly as strong as the bottom of the MWC this year.

So I'm home on spring break which means I'm down in Southwest Wyoming right next to the belly of the beast. I am watching the news after the selection show which happens to be Salt Lake City based. They did a special on BYU making the tournament and it may just be the most ridiculous/hilarious thing I've ever seen. They had a reporter on campus to show the fans reactions. Funny thing about it was there was literally 2 guys sitting on a couch who yelled. They also did interviews with students on how they felt about the selection which spawned responses such as:

"Yeah, I uhh like the matchup. I think we can win 3 or 4 games" (seriously wtf?) or

"Unfortunately we dont have Jimmer anymore" (you're really on a first name basis asshole?)

You could tell that everybody they interviewed didn't know shit about basketball. What a fuggin joke. Of all years for 11 midmajors to get in, BYU was one of the ones who squeaked in. Add in CSU playing a game that essentially is a win win pisses me off beyond believe. If CSU wins they go down as heroes for pulling an upset and beating a 30+ win team. If they lose they get the 30+ win thing in their favor. Seeing that team (which the Pokes beat by 19 and should have beat in FOCO) while Wyoming is at home on the couch is a kick right in the testes.
