Why does Burman still have a job?

To me, it appears that he's performing his duties and meeting the expectations of the Board of Trustees. He must or they would have got rid of him.

Tom Burman knows the issues that we face. He made public comments that he wasn't surprised by the consulting report, he already knows that he needs about 4 million a year to be competitive. He's stated those things.

So why do we have an athletics director that KNOWS what the problem is, that has been here a long time, and still can't solve the problem?

If we need more money and Tom can't provide it, it's time to move on, and hire someone that can.

DC couldn't provide championships or consistent success and he was let go. Why does Tom Burman exist in a bubble? He can't provided consistent success either and he knows exactly what he needs to be competitive.

Either he needs to figure out a way to increase the budget or he needs to be fired.

Let's hire a guy for A.D. that knows he needs a bigger budget and can actually deliver a bigger budget.

My theory: he has pictures of the BOT having a wild orgy and is using that as blackmail.

If he's got those images, I'll happily pay him not to ever display them anywhere I might accidentally see them.

I'm going to try this at my next job.

"Yeah, I know, my work is half assed at best. Yes, I understand that I haven't produced upper half results more then two or three times. Yes, I've NEVER been the best at anything, since I took the job. Yes, the results of my projects are usually in the bottom third of similar projects. Yes, I understand the field I'm competing against, isn't really even that difficult in comparison to the national firms that produce a similar project. I'm not going to argue with that, although I am offended that you said I think good enough is good enough.

I've targeted certain tools I need to complete my projects and have success. I've already identified what those things are. I know where to get those tools. I just can't get them. I've tried, but I just haven't been able to get the tools I need to do my job. I've been trying to get those tools for over five years.

So get fucked boss. I know I'm below average. I know what I need to fix it. I've been here a long time. I just can't get the tools I need to succeed."

No need to go to all that trouble when you get to the boss's office and there's a "Vacancy" sign hanging from the knob.

Even after death lineage carries a lot of weight...so sad

It's straight out of Office Space- he didn't get fired because the boss died in the fire caused by the lovable but otherwise worthless employee. The whole thing'd be funny if it wasn't true!

Shit can this guy. How do we get it done? I've just written Gov. Sasquatch Mead, the fuckers hiding in the Teton wilderness.
We all need to expose our dissatisfaction with the state of affairs at UW. Changing the HC is a knee jerk response to a systemic meltdown. The Ringolsby Conspiracy must be stopped. DC is the symptom and firing solves nothing in relation to the culture of status quo we have at UW. Man, this is a freaking nightmare ready for series 4 production.

Exactly. Wyovanian. He has a job because there's nobody to fire him. Sttttterrnnnnbbbberrrgggggg come back!!!

it's time for him to put up or ship out: and this hire is his true test!!!! it's time to show us the $$$$ and spend it to be successful....the only thing is watch the fans bitch when ticket prices go up, hey it's the world we live in anymore.
This is going to be interesting and like Gags said, stop living in the 1950's business model mentality!!!
