See this is a prime example of what a school has to do in order to keep their fans motivated and that's broadcast video and not the shit video we have.
They were broadcasting in a very high bandwidth HD Stream. Wyoming probably broadcasts not only at half the video equipment but probably 1/4 of the bandwidth available. Just a wild guess is they are probably broadcasting upstream around 2-3 meg and Wyoming broadcasts on about 600-1000 kb which is just short of 1 meg.
I'm not sure on speed but their equipment is all capable. Most is brand new if not 1-2 years old. I have first hand knowledge of this.Wyo2dal said:They need a better broadcasting booth, They are broadcasting on very shitty equipment. Must be something with speed because the cameras are p2 media and then go through an hd tricaster so should be good video.Wyo2dal said:gopokes1399 said:UW will have streams for the remaining home games atleast
Ya but our video is pretty damn awful unfortunately.

The cameras I believe are 10k+. P2 media is a Panasonic product which is the industry standard for HD. So they have all the equipment. I used to work in video but the lack of pay and huge time commitment made me leave. The problem currently is they can't get anyone to keep the position for a good length of time. The director and assistant both quit this season.Wyo2dal said:wyocowboy2014 said:I'm not sure on speed but their equipment is all capable. Most is brand new if not 1-2 years old. It's not as much the Video equipment as the Computer/Internet connection being used. They definitely don't have HD Cameras at Wyoming or they do but aren't smart enough to setup HD broadcasting. So they might be new but it's new low cost lower quality equipment or just plain no understanding.
It doesn't take a genius to set a broadcast up it's actually pretty damn easy out quality broadcasts are bad really bad. Remember the Wyoming vs Texas game. I was broadcasting 620X350 resolution to over 4500 people from a home internet connection.
So i'm going to go off of they don't know what they are doing more than no equipment to do it. I can't imagine UW doesn't have proper internet by now.
