Why can't UW have a stream like that?

They need a better broadcasting booth, They are broadcasting on very shitty equipment. ISU has real equipment, hopefully the type we will have after AA renovations. See this is a prime example of what a school has to do in order to keep their fans motivated and that's broadcast video and not the shit video we have.

They were broadcasting in a very high bandwidth HD Stream. Wyoming probably broadcasts not only at half the video equipment but probably 1/4 of the bandwidth available. Just a wild guess is they are probably broadcasting upstream around 2-3 meg and Wyoming broadcasts on about 600-1000 kb which is just short of 1 meg.

I'm not sure on speed but their equipment is all capable. Most is brand new if not 1-2 years old. I have first hand knowledge of this.

Well, first of all, get the unpaid undergrand trained up on how to unmute Dave and Kevin when time outs end, lol.

UW will have streams for the remaining home games atleast

Ya but our video is pretty damn awful unfortunately.
Must be something with speed because the cameras are p2 media and then go through an hd tricaster so should be good video.

It's not as much the Video equipment as the Computer/Internet connection being used. They definitely don't have HD Cameras at Wyoming or they do but aren't smart enough to setup HD broadcasting. So they might be new but it's new low cost lower quality equipment or just plain no understanding.

It doesn't take a genius to set a broadcast up it's actually pretty damn easy out quality broadcasts are bad really bad. Remember the Wyoming vs Texas game. I was broadcasting 620X350 resolution to over 4500 people from a home internet connection.

So i'm going to go off of they don't know what they are doing more than no equipment to do it. I can't imagine UW doesn't have proper internet by now.

The cameras I believe are 10k+. P2 media is a Panasonic product which is the industry standard for HD. So they have all the equipment. I used to work in video but the lack of pay and huge time commitment made me leave. The problem currently is they can't get anyone to keep the position for a good length of time. The director and assistant both quit this season.

I just re watched the Wyo vs CU game I'm 100% sure it's just people that haven't a clue. Like the ISU game tonight you can tell their main camera is on a pod and the operator is making smooth camera movement. Our camera for our games it's like someone walking around with a Cell phone. It jumps all over indicating it's not on a tripod of any type or something else is wrong.

Maybe we will get someone in there with some experience someday but we could be broadcasting this same HD feed as ISU as long as the internet connection and computer hardware is sufficient.
