Allyn Griffin... but then it's enjoyable to watch the guys I played HS football with. His first college catch as a freshman was a TD if I am remembering correctly. Drafted by Detroit in 1986.

Ahhh yes. Griff. I really liked Allyn, both as a person, and a player. And I liked his friends / peers at that time equally as well...Wiggy, Mack, etc. Good memories!

Did you see the alumni news magazine that featured him on the cover (and his story) a couple of years ago? It was great to see he was doing so well, being a positive influence working with kids.

I'll just add one name to it - Paul Nunu.

Yep...Nunu was a terrific football player. And a great guy as well. Even though he was from Hawaii, he really did fit in Wyoming.

Fullback size getting the carries, could squat a tank. Big 10 type offense his senior year, was fun for someone like me to watch.
