Who is this year's Cowboy MVP?

After some thought it has to be Jaydee Luster. His tenacity on defence has been absolutely incredible. A complete joy to watch. His ability to run the offence and senior leadership have been outstanding. He has improved his shooting and decision making has improved immensely. Hats off to you young man this year has been a pleasure to watch :thumb: and its not over yet.

I would have to agree, His play from this season to all previous seasons are different as night and day.

Washington gets my vote. He's been a dominant force in the paint this season (when he's not in foul trouble). Luster is definitely in the conversation, but Washington is the better pick IMO.

My vote: Luster. The kids intangibles are amazing. His D is the best we've had in Wyo for YEARS! And he leads very well. He's clutch when it counts and capitalizes on his opportunities.
Washington has been good all year, but he has not hit his potential yet, and it shows with his inconsistency. Next year? more than likely.
But, I'm really hoping Gilmore or someone can fill the BIG shoes of Luster come next year.

agreed as well, Luster is what makes us go!!! although I truly love Martinez, Luster had a breakout year!!
sorry if this offends many, glad Waddell is a senior, he does some good things but overall he's a big body down low that coulda done more!! Can't wait to see what happens in tourney!!!

I would have said that Washington was the MVP, because he filled so many roles, but he disappeared during our swoon. Maybe that means that he is the key to our success?

Not offended, but I disagree. I have liked how steady Waddell has been. He has done his job consistently all year and has been a dominant part of our best wins. I am not saying that he has been one of our best centers ever, but I think his departure will hurt us more next year than the departure of any of the other seniors.

He has done everything I hoped for this year (I never expected a superstar performance) and more .

To me, he has no obvious successor because his experience has been such a big part of his game. We have other point guards coming up that have spent a year in the program and have been tested with the game on the line.

Washington reminds very much of Josh Davis. Tall, athletic and can shoot inside out. I think he will have a great year next year.

Agreed. Waddell has been good for the Pokes (when the refs aren't calling mystery fouls on him) and has been one of our more consistent players.
