What is the best this team could do?

Alright what is the absolute best you guys can see this team doing? I am not asking for your realistic prediction of how the team will do, but asking to channel your inner-BeaverPoke and sunshine pumping and make a ridiculous statement of how well this team COULD do.

Absolute unrealistic best for me is....Larry Nance wins MWC POY, Hankerson wins MWC Newcomer of the year, and Josh Adams win D-Player of the year, with Shyatt winning coach of the year.
The Pokes win the MWC Tourney, and make the Sweet 16, winning something like 30+ games.
Going 13-0 in ooc play (including an upset of Ohio State, and beating CU like we normally do) being in the Top 25.
Win another 13 games in MWC play, losing 5 sitting at 26-5, then winning 3 to win the MWC title (29-5), and 2 in the big dance to get into the sweet 16 (31-6).

That is the absolute best I could see....not very realistic (my realistic expectations are about 23, or 24 wins, maybe getting into the big dance, or winning a couple NIT games.)
 
Well yeah, I mean, if we are going completely unrealistic I guess the best we do is an undefeated season with a national title and a couple first round NBA draft picks.
 
I wouldn't set any limits on what the team can accomplish, but I think the better question is what would constitute a successful season?

My opinion? 18 wins and a postseason berth of some kind.

NIT or NCAA. Some may think thats a strectch but I see us improving this year and we need to make this next step. Im sick of the CBI or CIT.
 
Well I think the back court and wing play will be better this year than last as we have more depth and a lot coming back with an upgrade at the wings. We have Nance coming back but losing Washington might hamper us a little inside as compared to last year.

I think the best we could do out of conference would be 12-1 with the loss at Ohio st. In conference I think the best we do is about 11-7. So we finish the regular season at 23-8.

Win one game in the MWC tourney and lose one and finish at that point 24-9. We would be looking at a for sure NIT berth and an outside shot at the NCAA.

The worst we could do.....well let's hope it is still better than last year and we finish no lower than 6th place in conference.
 
Pokes need another 20 win season. Back to back 20 win seasons so far under Shyatt. A 3rd in a row would be awesome.
25 wins would be really cool.
Some big key games for me are: @CU, @Ohio State, and pretty much every MWC game.
 
Gonna check em out tonight, hopefully we'll see good thing outta this fresh new team for an eerily good time tonight!!!
