3 turnovers and the QB getting hurt disguised a lot of problems. Tackling was really poor and our offensive line was being dominated. While I waned the Cowboys to win, a part of me felt like it just meant Sawvel willl likely be the coach next season as well and Burman would not go away.

They scored 1 TD. Last week, they scored 41 against UNLV. Even in the 3d quarter when they scored, we made them work for it. Was it perfect? Not even close. But at least we weren't the team turning the ball over. And we got a td every time we were in the red zone.
 
we turned a corner. Unlv and New Mexico will be tough. Even utep on the road could be a loss. A 7 win season is a good step. The offense is starting to gel. We should have a chance in every game going forward. Good job sawvel and taylor. Lets just win out and go to the championship game. Lets be positive and just enjoy a already good season after a really bad start
 
I’m here to eat humble pie. This team came prepared and played the best game of the season, so far. I did not expect them to win last night. I am happy they did. The coaches and players deserve all the credit for playing Wyoming football.

Air Force, uncharacteristically, was the team that had the mental mistakes and miscues. Give Wyoming credit for taking advantage of them. I was expecting the opposite. I was wrong.

That trip to El Paso means something even if we don’t win at UNLV.

Beat UNLV it’s a must win to setup the game with UNM. UNM beats NDSU today and we run the table we own the tiebreaker at 7-1 if UNM finishes at 7-1.

Lose at UNLV and beat UTEP we are bowl eligible and will have a winning conference record for the 8th time in 28 years.

I'm pretty sure Sawvel was safe after win #3 due to the buyout. I've been hoping for every win possible since then as I saw no chance of him being fired by that point. I just hope burman don't extend him as a last act before he retires (still hoping burman retires and we get a new ad). Even if we were to win out and win the mw I hope we don't extend Sawvel. Make him prove it again next year when the schedule is likely tougher.

Wyoming and Air Force played a game that either team could have won except for a few key plays.

Water is blue. The earth revolves around the sun.

Rinse, repeat.

UNM has a sneaky game at SJSU after the NDSU game. A win against NDSU, followed by a road losss to SJSU would be big help for us

Two games in a row in which I would say we were well coached and well prepared. I never thought I would say that about a Sawvel lead team. That 1st half was the most fun I've had watching a Wyoming football team since probably the 2nd half of the Texas Tech game in 2023.

I think had we lost these kind of games earlier in the year (would require an offense), people wouldn’t have been nearly as down on the team. The CMU and NDSU games were not this kinds of game.

Hughes has made great strides tbe last few games. Maybe this team is better than I thought. That run was “sick”.

I will agree, the inability to wrap up was frustrating. I hope they work on tackling during the bye.
