Seeing all kinds of tweets about him home recovering and needing rehab. Anyone know what happened to him? Assuming some kind of accident.

Get well Josh, man this truly sucks, but glad you are ok, take it day by day and glad you weren't truly injured beyond the point of no return. Hang in there man!!! Speedy recovery!!!

Get well soon. I saw some things on twitter this weekend/last week where he said he was lucky to be alive but didn't know how serious it was. Glad he appears to be doing alright. Get well soon.

Official press release from Wyoming Athletics:

Former Cowboy Josh Adams Recovering From Car Accident

Adams Currently Resting Comfortably at Home, Not Available for Interviews at Current Time

Laramie, Wyo. (Aug. 17, 2016) -- Former University of Wyoming basketball All-American Josh Adams is resting comfortably at home in Castle Rock, Colo., following a car accident in the Denver-metro area this past weekend. Adams was hospitalized following the accident and underwent some surgery, but is already home at his parents’ house and is resting comfortably. No one else was injured in the accident. No alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident

Adams and his family have asked that media not try to contact him in the immediate future while he recovers, but fans wishing to send Adams well wishes may send them to him at: Josh Adams, 628 Reid Place, Castle Rock, CO 80108 or may reach out to him on Twitter. Adams’ Twitter handle is: @JoshTAdams14

Adams concluded his Wyoming Basketball career this past season, earning Honorable Mention All-America honors from Associated Press. He ranks fifth in career scoring in Wyoming history, with 1,819 points, and is tied with Eric Leckner for the most games played in school history (131). Adams set a new University of Wyoming single-season scoring record this past season, scoring 740 points to break the previous record of 701 points scored by Flynn Robinson in the 1964-65 season. Adams averaged 24.7 points per game as a senior to lead the Mountain West and rank No. 3 in the nation. He earned First Team All-MW honors from conference coaches, was named the MW Player of the Year by media covering the Mountain West and earned All-District honors from both the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). As a junior, Adams helped lead the Cowboys to the Mountain West Tournament Championship and earned Tournament MVP honors as the Cowboys captured an automatic berth to the 2015 NCAA Tournament.

Adams signed a professional contract with Avtodor Saratov of the Russian VTB United League. The team has issued a release stating that they are keeping Adams with hopes that he may be able to play in the second half of the season.

not that there's ever a good place or time to have an accident, glad it happened in the USA vs over in Russia, medical slightly better over here and better recoup, but still sucks, glad he's ok and then some!

Man they raised the 30k dollars in 9 hours that just shows how much everyone loves and appreciates Josh.

I am confused by this a little.

Did Josh not have Healthcare Insurance? If not, isn't that against the law, punishable by fines at tax return time? Did he have a $30,000 deductible - and is that even an option?

By the way - I donated.

I had the same thoughts. I'm guessing he had a super high deductible plan with a co-pay. Basically the cheapest option you can get to stay legal.

As I put on twitter, this campaign shows all that is right with the world. He needed help, he had to take the hit to his ego and ask for it, and people have come through for him in a big way. I couldn't donate much, but I donated what I could, and it really makes me happy to see so many other people doing it as well. There is a lot to be proud and hopeful for when we can all come together for a cause!

He would of been on his parents until he graduated. I doubt he bought Insurance on his own afterwards. There's no insurance police that fine you so he'd just have to deal with the months he wasn't covered when he filed. Raising 30k tells me he had no insurance. Don't most plans have a maximum out of pocket for the year?
