At what point do fans care (or do they care), or standup for what is right & wrong? Where is the integrity & accountability with these schools? They call this higher education...I call it a horrific situation that is driving ethics into the crapper. The list of cheaters is long, and getting longer. Yet life goes on, and revenue continues to flow to those that are caught.

And here it happens again. I know Mr. T linked this earlier...but...

I was thinking, that every time the NCAA is in the process of investigating a school, or the school is investigating itself, and I posted it here...there would be a weekly bump, if not more. And that is just the stuff that is "found out".

Winning at all costs... :tickedoff:

Well, higher education is not really that high of education. one learns very little with just a bachelor's.

I suspected for a few years about the Oregon stuff. There are just too many Texas kids interested in Oregon and Oklahoma State etc. I did mention on another thread a while back that Boone Pickens U was the top recruiter in the DFW area according to the local newspaper. Really? Okie St. is THAT appealing a place to go play college football? It's been the last few years that they've recruited really well in my area.

As a SMOO fan I have been really angry for years for what level of damage was done to the program. And only to the SMU football program when well over 30 other programs have deserved the repeat violators rule punishment as well. That anger has never left me. It was frustrating for years for people to say something like "SMU, that school that cheated," as if they were the only one that ever cheated. I think they learned from some of the best cheaters out there. One reason I like 30 for 30's Pony Excess is that the younger fans can see that cheating was rampant.

I did not watch the Academy Awards but on another message board there was George Lopez and I think Alyssa Milano in a photo to present an award. He was wearing a blue #19 Eric Dickerson jersey with SMU on the chest.
