I am proud of our Wyo boys Pro and Wendling. They have done very well for themselves. I think John is slated to make nearly 700k this year. Besides being athletic, both were great leaders on the field. I am curious who on this Cowboy team is going to step up and take on that role for our defense.

Luke Ruff maybe? He is a good player, and got a pick 6 on Kellen Moore on one of Moore's first throws of the game last year.

Absolutely Luke Ruff. Is that even a serious question?

He was 2nd team All-MWC as a JR last year, just like Chris Pro was his JR year.
And pre-season 1st team for this year.

Luke may not have the NFL body that Wendling or Chris Pro had, but he has played all 4 years (including that blocked punt against Texas as a freshman in Laramie.) and started last year. And he is hands down, no question the smartest player we have on the field, offense and defence.

And had 102 tackles last year, which was 2nd on the team to Hendricks (105) but was still good enough for 6th most tackles in the MWC.

He has already stepped up. No question. No doubt about it.
