Well, What do you know.

I come back from vacation and learned that Smith got to go against the #1 defense a few times in the 2nd scrimmage and did nothing versus them; just like I predicted.

I also read that Pittser looked better. Was that with the #2 offense vs. the #1 defense?.. If so that is impressive. If Smith couldn't move the #1 offense vs. the #1 defense and Pittser moved the #2 offense vs. the #1 defense then we have an interesting qb competition.

You're an idiot! Just saying. Smiths first drive was stopped against the number ones. (Which is good, maybe our defense is finally good. On top of that, Pittser did crap against the number ones going 15-32-133-0-0. That is a far cry less than Smith's 15-23-160-1-1.

By the way Smith in two scrimmages has rushed 11-15-0, Pittser 13-(-71)-0. Big difference. I would prefer our offense move forward this year.
I'll give you Pittser stepped it up and played better, but he still played worse than Kirkegaard, who threw 16-21-124-0-0. And has rushed 10-(-45)-0.

Come on just by the numbers who has played better. Smith's completion % in two scrums is 76.4%, Kirkegaard is 76% and Pittser is 46%. Big difference, plus your're arguements of going with the #2's is still void because Kirkegaard is kicking ass with them. Kirkegaard has thrown 76% with the #2's and #3's.

Hey fool.. Did you really just say "On top of that, Pittser did crap against the number ones going 15-32-133-0-0. That is a far cry less than Smith's 15-23-160-1-1." ??

This statement implies that Smith went 15-23-160-1-1 versus the #1 defense. WRONG
Those were his total numbers for the whole scrimmage with the #1 offense vs. the #2 defense and a couple series vs. the #1 defense. He did nothing vs. the #1 defense. However Pittser put his numbers up with the #2 offense.

DO YOU NEED HELP UNDERSTANDING THIS?

Pittser and Kirkegaard both spent time with the 3s as wel, and I believe Kirk got more time with the 2s vs 1s. I haven't seen any numbers for who put up what against who ( I think only total numbers were given), but it is possible that Kirk and Pittser put up most of their numbers against the 3s.

Hitting over 75% of you passes, even against the 2s, is still pretty impressive. I don't understand the negativity about Smith, since it has been nearly a decade that we have had a QB capable of moving the offense in scrimmages against the 2nd defense.

Pittser and Kirkegaard will likely get a chance to play this year and show what they can do, if they really are better we will see it. However, I think Smith is the best as of right now even if he is taking more snaps against the 2s.

I trust Coach C on this. They would be getting equal reps with the ones, if they were both at the same place. They aren't. Smith showed up a semester earlier, has a better grasp of the playbook, has watched hours of film with the coaches, has 15 more practices....He's clearly ahead. With Pittser catches up on the things Smith leads in, Pittser will get equal reps.

You act like Pittser hasn't been given a chance. That's not the case. Smith busted his ass to graduate early, and has been working his tail off while Pittser was finishing high school. Obviously the coaches put him in the lead right now. He earned it by getting here early and working hard.

Hell, Pittser isn't even number two right now, because Kirkegarrd has outperformed him in camp so far.
When Pittser gets more familiar with the system and playbook his natural talent and arm strength will get him the chance he wants.
