We are going to win out.

I rarely make predictions, but you heard it here first. This remaining schedule is extremely favorable. We are better than every team remaining and would be favored on neutral courts against all of them. We'll turn Moby into a borderline home game like we do every year. We will win handily in Logan. The SDSU win really got this team over the hump and confident and I trust the coaching staff to prevent complacency.

We might even catch UNLV in my scenario. With four road games plus SDSU at home, they could easily lose two. The three seed is there for the taking.

I love the good vibes around the basketball team right now, but to expect to win out is a bit unrealistic.

In my objective opinion, 4-3 is most likely. Anything beyond that would be icing on the cake.

I sure hope you're right, but I don't see us winning in Logan either and we don't win at Moby, I know this team will drop one/two that they shouda had, I would love to see them go 7-0 these last 7, unless that win vs SDSU does turn us into a totally different team, sure hope so, game at a time like I always say!!!!!!!!

5-2 is my prediction.

Agree...here is what I have:

Sat, Feb 15 @ San Jose State (WIN)

Tue, Feb 18 vs Fresno State (WIN)

Sat, Feb 22 @ Colorado State (LOSS)

Tue, Feb 25 vs Air Force (WIN)

Sat, Mar 1 vs Boise State (WIN)

Wed, Mar 5 @ Utah State (LOSS)

Sat, Mar 8 vs Colorado State (WIN)

SDSU was a huge win but we had a huge win last year also and we finished with a not so great record. The remaining games will be a challenge, let's not get crazy here.

I don't think that winning out is a crazy thought. It may not be most likely, but it's also far from impossible. Wyoming is either better than or in a more favorable position (i.e. home game against Boise) than any team left on the schedule. That certainly doesn't mean that we'll win every game, but we technically SHOULD win every game left on the schedule.

It's a lot to ask, but it's not crazy.

Sooo we beat SDSU and now we're gonna win 7 straight? Ya'll act like the MWC is the Big Sky. We could very well go 0-7.

You take things one game at a time. First up is SJSU. Get the game plan down, and beat them. Then focus on the next opponent.

I think 4-3 is still a success. Finishing the conf with a winning record, even 10-8 is a success. I would love 5, 6 or even 7 straight wins, but in this conf of parity, I will not get my hopes up.

What a bunch of negative nancies. I like the call, Duck. Will it be a challenge? Certainly. But if any team has the mental make-up to do it, it is this one.

Let's go Pokes...make them all eat their words.

Before SDSU, we were considering this team mentally weak because they couldn't close out a close game.

Haha this board is schizo.

No one was negative. I'm not buying in to us being a total dominant team just because we beat SDSU. We played great, but we did last year against SDSU aswell, and still managed to lose to teams we were supposed to beat. I'm not saying we couldn't go 7-0, and I would absolutely love that, but with where we are, I would be excited to manage 10 conf wins this season.

But then again, some on here considered it a pure failure if we have three or more losses in these 7 remaining games. If that happens who's being negative then?

I hope your speaking for a mouse in your pocket with that mentally weak bit. While I agree this board has some interesting fans I for one see an improved team over the last 2 years playing harder teams and winning more than we have. I would never call this team mentally weak, pretty much just the opposite the mental side of the game is where we are much stronger.

Anyway 4-3 I would be ok with but disappointed, 5-2 I honestly expect the team to finish that way and anything better is just gravy.

I agree. I'm not sure who said they were weak prior to SDSU, but if someone said that they have really not been paying attention.

Look, winning out would be unbelievable. I'm not saying it is likely. But it's much more likely than losing more than 3 games. Beating SDSU doesn't make this team world beaters. They are the same team they were before the win. BUT, it shows the fans what they are capable of, and more importantly, it shows the TEAM what they are capable of.

I can't wait to see what happens. I'm approaching old timer status because I actually watched this program win the conference, go to the Sweet 16, etc. I can tell by the posts on this board that many of you are young and haven't witnessed the Pokes doing anything of significance. I hope that changes soon.

It's fun to speculate, but the team has got to take the games one at a time and not look ahead. If they do that, they will be just fine. They are looking stronger in all aspects of the game than they have all year. Enjoy & Go Pokes.
