But I think we do have a running game - just not straight up the middle 95% of the time. Look at what Conway did.

Agree! Not sure why Vigen had such a massive boner for going between the tackles so damn much. Every once in a while, to keep things honest, but wow was that a shitshow.

This! If we can all see that running Hill straight into a brick wall 20 times isn't going to work, why can't the offensive coordinator see it?

Screens are almost always forward, except for WR screens. I thought maybe it was a swing pass to the flat. I was hunting and don't think I'll watch the dvr

You're right. Hill came out of the backfield when the ball was snapped. For some reason I thought he went out wide in motion pre-snap.

I want to see what happens in these next two games. If we are fine, The UC Davis game should never be in question. I'm not saying that we need to win it 60-0 but we need to be up 3 scores early on and never be challenged the rest of the game. Winning on the road is hard and we need to play well in Ipsalanti. A solid, mistake free game would be great. We do need to win that game also. Eastern Michigan is perennially bad. If those 2 things can happen, then I like our chances to be competitive more often than not in conference. NIU not getting blown out would help my confidence too.

Whenever there is a loss, it's always an implosion...self-inflicted. It's never another team bowing up and stomping your ass into the dirt.

Let's see what your excuse is next week against a superior Oregon team. This Wyoming team isn't that good and stuck with Nebraska until the 4th quarter when they fell apart. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what happened. Nebraska was clearly the better team, but they're average at best. Enjoy the season while you can because Nebraska is in for another mediocre season.
